UPDATE – APRIL 2024:  This article is now out of date, but don’t worry.  We produce a monthly summary of the top hotel bonus point offers – please click HERE or use the ‘Hotel Offers’ menu above.

Marriott Bonvoy is offering 1,000 bonus points per night and double elite night credits on stays between 13th February and 29th April. Click here to read more and click here to register.

Keep up to date with new hotel offers by signing up for our free daily or weekly newsletters.

Starwood, the parent of Sheraton, Westin, W, St Regis and other hotels, has launched its new Android app.  This adds to the existing iPhone app.

If you are registered for the Better by the Night promotion, which runs until December 20th, you will earn 500 bonus points per stay when you book with the Android app.  (iPhone app users were already getting 500 bonus points per stay.)

This is better than the standard 250 bonus points per stay you would get by booking via the SPG home page.

Here is my explanatory post on the Better by the Night promotion.

If you got an Android phone and some SPG stays booked before December 20th, you may (after checking the rate hasn’t gone up) want to cancel them and rebook via the new app.

Remember to read our ‘Hotel Offers‘ page for all the latest hotel offers.

Hope the Android app works better than the iPhone one. I tried using the latter (to get my 500 bonus points) but the types of rooms and rates it offered me were (seemingly randomly) much more limited than those displayed via the normal website. In the end, I gave up, and made my booking the ‘old’ (with bonus limited to 250 points).
