Instant ‘Le Club Accorhotels’ Platinum status is back

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

Accor has brought back a sign-up link that gives you instant Platinum status in its Le Club Accorhotels loyalty programme.  This will be very handy if you ever stay at a Novetel, Sofitel, M Gallery, Mercure etc.

The link is here.  It will most likely die quite quickly, so act now if you are interested.

You need to create a new account, so if you already have one you will need to abandon it and get a new one.  The email address you use must be one that Accor does not already have on file.

The benefits of Platinum status can be found here – they are not life changing, but certainly worth having (upgrade, 5pm check-out etc).  And you may be able to use your Platinum status here to get a status match with another hotel chain ….

Tomorrow I will run a post about Accor’s big Christmas and New Year sale, so the status may come in handy!

Just do not try to ask any manual action from the Le Club Accorhotels, because they will check that “you still didn’t deliver some details from your bank” (which is usually this promo created for) and that’s why your account will be “blocked”. If you keep it quiet, you’re fine, haha.

How could I go about using this platinum status to match with other hotel programs? Perhaps Hilton Honors for instance.

    • Myer says:

I reall don’t understand how you might get Hilton to match this!

Hilton does match to Accor, according to some stuff I have found, but you need to send them your activity statement as well as a copy of your card. Just the card won’t cut it, unfortunately.

Cheers. Signed up as Plat this morning!

  • Kim says:

    Thanks, worked for me!

  • Andy says:

Cheers Raffles, signed up and got my number added to our reservation at Sofitel Miami

  • Rda says:

    Signed up, thanks!

  • Chris says:

Works fine as of Thu, 15 Nov 2pm. Thank you!

For me it worked for Best Western to Platinum and Marriott to Gold (only for 3 months, but that was still worth two upgrades and free Internet access). Hilton does that as well, but I don’t have any reservations with them, so I didn’t try (but got an email from them that this is possible).
