The title says it all, really.
Just a quick heads up that Quidco’s cashback on the British Airways Premium Plus American Express card has gone up to £60 for a period. It is usually £40, although for 5 days at Christmas it was a crazy £80.
Given that the bonus of 25,000 Avios for signing up is still available, this is a pretty powerful combination. The 25,000 Avios offer seems to run until early February, whilst the Quidco deal seems to run until 22nd January.
(Thanks to Stewart for this)

Can one hold this card and points if you’re already a Platinum card holder?
I’m interested in it for the 2 for 1 voucher benefit.
Does the 241 voucher arrive once you’ve reached the minimum spend, or after 12 months from account opening (assume you reached the minimum spend at some point before that)
The 241 arrives on the electronic account about two days after the spend triggers it. It also appears automatically on your BAEC account. Paper notification come later.
I have a platinum card and just received my BA card, and assume the points will come in ok once I’ve hit the necessary spend. The platinum card doesn’t generate avios directly so this shouldn’t be a problem.
The voucher appears in your ba.com account within 4-5 days of the spend target being hit. You have 2 years to use it from the date it is issued.
You cannot start collecting for a new one until the anniverary of your card opening date comes round. A lot of people therefore move spend onto other cards for a few months once they have triggered their voucher.
It pays fairly pronto too, ie within 2/3 weeks. Mid Dec application posted at start of Jan. Make sure you have entered BACS info as its above the £25 limit for PayPal paybacks.
Do you know if this is available to those with the “regular” BA AMEX, I.e. if I wanted to upgrade to the premium plus card?
Possibly. You would need to apply via Quidco for the cashback, then at some point Amex would probably ring you to say that you can’t have both BA Amex cards. You then tell them to close the old one, but carry over your qualifying spend to the new card. No guarantee it would work, though. Perhaps easier to get your partner to sign up instead.
I have the following amex cards:
BA normal amex
Gold amex
SPG amex
I applied a month or so ago for the premium plus (i wanted to upgrade the current one). I got a letter saying that I can only have a maximum of 2 amex credit cards.Going to cancel the SPG one and the BA amex in the next few weeks – will try and upgrade again then.
Also to add – i have a 2-for-1 flight in feb which I got using my ba amex – if i cancel the ba amex will it affect this booking?
No, although if you cancel the flight then the voucher may not return to you
Thanks for the info – I will probably wait till after the flight just in case and then cancel the BA amex. Will cancel the SPG sooner though as I have gotten the 20k bonus already.
Thanks again
Yes, unwritten rule seems to be 2 credit and 2 charge for directly issued Amex cards
