Win two British Airways tickets to St Lucia every 15 minutes at Victoria Station

British Airways is running a huge holiday giveaway down at Victoria Station this week.

Details are sketchy (at the time of writing, anyway) and the advertising to date – such as in the Evening Standard on Friday – has been purposely vague.  However, I understand that they will be installing a video game machine with some kind of flight simulator on it on the station concourse.

Anyone can go along and play it.  Between 8am and 8pm, the highest score EVERY 15 MINUTES wins the prize.

Today, Monday, the prize is 48 pairs of tickets (presumably economy) to St Lucia!  Later in the week you should see Florida, Barbados, Colombo, Marrakech and more.

I also understand that there will be a competition on the BA Facebook page, although at the time of writing there is nothing up yet.

If you are passing through Victoria and decide to give it a go, please let us know how you get on.  Off peak, your chance of winning must be OK.  Even at 8am, I reckon most people will be too busy rushing to work to notice it.

Word will get around quickly, though, so today might be your best chance of having a go without a massive queue.

I tried it at 8:50. It’s on the extreme right of the station concourse, as you face the platforms. You have to queue to register for a “boarding pass” which involves giving your full name, email address, accepting the terms 7 conditions, and having your photo taken. You then proceed to the playing area which comprises of 6 positions, 3 on either side. there you don headphones and play a MS Flight style sim of landing a 777 at St Lucia. You have to use game controls to bank l-r or up/down through hoops on the flight path; then press the red buttons on the left hand joy stick to lower the undercarriage when told to do so. All in all good fun, but experienced gamers should have a significant advantage. I thought I had done ok but came away with only 38% and 11th place at that time. Good luck to everyone here and thanks to Raffles for highlighting it.

It is Economy, with no tier points or Avios to be earned. No surprises there.
