A new Heathrow Express discount code emerges

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

Back in the olden’ days (ie pre 2013), you could always rely on the internet to find you a nice promotional code to reduce the cost of your Heathrow Express ticket ….

From the start of 2013, though, all of the discount codes except one (for Air New Zealand) stopped working. And then, at the end of January, the Air New Zealand code died as well.

Some group saver tickets are still available – see this post for details – but nothing for single tickets.

However, Flyertalker monkeymagic has unearthed a working Heathrow Express promo code – targetted, wierdly, at the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain!

The link is here (EDIT: link removed as now dead)

It gives 10% off economy and First Class tickets, taking a single economy ticket down from a ludicrous £20 to a only-slightly-less-ludicrous £18.

If you have a Gold card or Network rail card you are better walking up to the ticket office or one if the Heathrow Express mobile sellers in T5 and ask for the 33% discount.

You also get 33% off the Heathrow Connect which works out about £6 single. If departing Paddington you can wait for the connect while having a quick beer in the beer house, excellent selection of beer with 20% off with a Bite card.

Does the Network Railcard have the before 10:00 restriction?

      • gagravarr says:

Yes, not valid before 10:00 Monday-Friday. It also has a minimum fare of £13 Monday-Friday, which means you can’t realistically use it for a weekday Heathrow Connect ticket unless coming in from further than London.

You get 33% off for having a BA Gold card at the Ticket Desk?!

    • Jason says:

No, he is referring to a Network Gold card which you get for having an annual rail season ticket in the South East (or a Gold Record Card for an annual Oyster travelcard, which serves the same functions)

The spanish chamber of commerce link is not working 🙁 Does anyone know if I need to put in a discount code?
