  The T3 lounge is good if you can get in. My wife and I were turned away from T3 in January by a handwritten sign which stated “no walk ins” the staff when presented with priority pass cards simply pointed to the sign. I wrote to both priority club and LHR the later never replied and priority pass in such circumstances are useless. There is no come back , no redress if a lounge refuses access. Pretty shabby service but from the view I had from the door the lounge in t3 does look nice.

  I’ve used the Gatwick No.1 Lounge on a couple of occasions with my Priority Pass and it’s very pleasant.

  Note that hot food orders from the Bistro menu are limited to one item per person per visit, but you can help yourself to the cold buffet, soup, and cakes as often as you like.

  I’m be going through LHR T3 next week so will try out that one too, although I might do a bit of lounge hopping as there are five I have access to in T3! Oh which to choose…

  These lounges are also some of the few that you can use with your Amex Gold card passes.

    I reckon some corporates who have downgraded staff from business to premium economy or economy may let them buy lounge access to offset the loss of getting it automatically.

  If you use your Amx Gold Card to pay for any Travelzoo deals, you would get triple points (normal, first year welcome bonus and travel bonus points). Not sure why but I have received these on 5 transactions now since having the card earlier this year. Having said that my latest transaction on BA.com only posted normal and travel bonus, whereas all the previous transactions were triple points.

    It’s not too bad. Each have their own good/bad. Free champagne in BA Galleries but how good is that? Well, it depends on what they’re serving.

    I’ve used both the South and North lounges (thanks AMEX & PP) and both have been pleasant. I flew TK in C last week and the lounge you get directed to at the north terminal is also the No.1 Traveller.

  I was at the LHR T3 lounge yesterday. Accessed using my Diners card – easy. Decor and service are great. Food is OKAY but the facilities and bathrooms are quite nice.

  I left my iPhone on a chair when I left and one of the people can sprinting after me while I was on my way to the gate… Relieved!

  I used my free passes that I got with the Amex Gold card and the lounge is a nice place to spend the time while waiting for your flight.

  Last month I visited again but I had no free passes left so I just showed them the Lounge card and they charged £15 per person on my Amex gold card. I thought it was a well spent £15.

  So don’t bin the card after you use your free passes, present that and the charge is only £15 – u can also use it for your guests.
