Another BAA WorldPoints sign-up promotion launched

British Airways and BAA WorldPoints – the Heathrow Airport shopping loyalty programme – have launched another sign up promotion.

This one is not as generous as some of the others we have seen, but is better than nothing if you are heading through Heathrow in the next couple of weeks.

Here is the link (EDIT: link removed as now dead).  You need to use WorldPoints promotional code 760.

You earn 100 WorldPoints for registering and a further 500 bonus WorldPoints when you spend £30 in one day before 20th May.

You will not receive your physical card in time to take advantage, but a shop can key in your card number manually or you can email them a scan of your receipt.

The website says that 250 WorldPoints is good for 300 Avios points.  This is true today, but the rate is being reduced on May 14th to 250:250.  You will therefore get 500 Avios points for your bonus points – perhaps more if WorldPoints runs another 100% transfer bonus to Avios.

Remember that if you already have a WorldPoints account, you could get another in the name of another household member who also has their own Avios account.

You can also transfer your WorldPoints to Miles & More or Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, or even cash them out for Heathrow shopping vouchers.
