Hilton has launched a big promotion entitled “Great Getaway”, offering discounts of up to 40% on rooms in Europe.

A smaller discount of up to 25% applies elsewhere in North America, the Middle East and Africa, and 20% in Asia-Pacific.

Hilton Gold

Unlike most hotel sales, this one covers a long time period. You can book at any point up to September 2nd, and you can stay at any point up to December 30th.

Rooms will require prepayment at the time of booking. Note that the ‘40% discount’ claim is based on the discount from the refundable rate for that night, so the saving on the standard pre-paid rate will be lower than 40%. You also need to book 7 days in advance.

No Hilton promotional code is required. Full details and a booking link can be found here.

But yet again, I ask the same question about staying Strathclyde!

      🙂

Strathclyde is quite a long way to go if you live in the SE..

      • What's the Point says:

Probably over £100 in fuel for you, so unless you are desperate to stay at a Hilton that looks a bit shabby on the photos. Stick to Dartford!

  • Daftboy says:

I inadvertently managed to get a good last minute rate on this when booking last Friday for the Conrad Dublin – €135 instead of €200+ (can’t remember the exact number). They must have just loaded inventory when I checked, and when I checked again later it was all gone and the cheapest rate was something like €225 pre-paid.

Not the most absolute bargain, but compared to what they normally charge there I was pretty happy, plus I am going to Dublin anyway this Saturday and hadn’t made any accomodation arrangements (friends’ sofas being the fall back!)

Raffles you might want to also mention that you need to book seven days in advance (or at least that’s what it said when I checked the T&Cs) – I was just within this, booking last Friday for a stay coming up this Saturday.

    • Daftboy says:

And I say “inadvertently” above as I hadn’t realised this offer was on, and only got the email from Hhonors telling me about it later that afternoon (which is what caused me to go back and check the hotel rates again).
