Get £15 Heathrow Express tickets (if you’re lucky)

Heathrow Express is 15 years old, amazingly.  And, to celebrate, they have been emailing some people with discount codes.  These allow you to book a one-way ticket for £15 instead of the current £20.

Each email contains a personalised, one-use-only, Heathrow Express promotional code.

However, having played around with it a bit, it seems that you can replicate a code by tweaking the numbers and letters in the code!

The code BIRTHDAY-N6CHJ was circulated, for example – this one has been used and now does not work.  However, changing one of the characters also seems to work sometimes.

If you go to this link and play around with variations of the above Heathrow Express discount code, you may be able to save yourself £5!

Here is the small print:

Offer applies to an Express Saver single ticket only. No upgrade is available with this offer. The promotion is for personal use, and is valid for single use only. This promotion is valid for booking made by 20 July 2013. Travel date must be from 25 June 2013 to 31 August 2013.

Full details of other Heathrow Express discounts you can get can be found in this post.

And to hell with the intended recipient! 🙂

Very small percentage of people use these – by default, they were sent to people who have not travelled by HEX in a while

That’s not true, I travel every week and I received one.

If you book tickets online (so they know you travel weekly) then they are clearly going soft in the head, since that is £5 they have just given away for no benefit!
