Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Last chance to win 10,000 Avios, Flying Club or Miles & More miles

Today (31st) is your last chance to enter the very low key competition being run over at Business Traveller magazine to win 10,000 Heathrow Rewards points.

This is to promote the relaunch of the scheme and their current (until 9th September) double points promotion.

Heathrow Rewards

10,000 Heathrow Rewards points is a pretty good deal. That will get you 10,000 Avios points, 10,000 Virgin Flying Club miles or 10,000 Miles & More miles. You could also get £100 of Heathrow shopping vouchers.

There are also 5 runners-up prizes of 2,000 Heathrow Rewards points.

There have also been fairly regular ‘100% transfer bonuses’ to Avios from Heathrow Rewards over the last couple of years, so your prize could be worth as much as 20,000 Avios!

There are two ways of entering:

If you are not already a Heathrow Rewards member, you can join via this Business Traveller link (deleted as dead) and be entered automatically.

If you ARE already a Heathrow Rewards member – which most of you will be – you can enter by emailing with the subject line “Business Traveller competition”. You need to include your Heathrow Rewards card number in the body of the email, no other information is needed.

Full details can be found here at Business Traveller. I doubt there will be a huge number of entries so your chances are quite good. The deadline is today, August 31st.

Thanks, I’ve given it a go. It would be good to hear if someone from HFP is a winner.

Weird choice of email address to use, considering one of the reasons of renaming the scheme was to kill off the BAA brand in favour of Heathrow.

Thanks for the reminder, Raffles. Oddly, I’d entered previously via my wife’s married and maiden name accounts, but neglected to enter for me! Now let’s hope I’m a winner!!!

    I have entered 🙂

A bit off topic (as https://headforpoints.com/2013/08/16/in-melia-rewards-did-you-get-some-mystery-bonus-points/ is closed for comments now). Has anyone got their miles transferred from Melia Rewards removed? I’ve logged in to my M&M account this morning and found the following:
    16/08/2013 Sol Melia Conversion -3,000
    16/08/2013 Sol Melia Conversion +3,000
No sign of rewards points back in my Melia Rewards account. I’m pretty sure the points were still there yesterday (so the dates are misleading).

Flyertalk reports similar cases, see the Miles & More forum. I am looking into it.

New membership created & comp joined – fingers crossed!
