What has turned up on the Tesco Direct DVD pre-order page?

Yes, The Smurfs – A Christmas Carol!

What makes this a smurftastic deal is that, whilst the DVD is only £3 with free postage, you still earn 150 bonus Clubcard points when you order it.  These are good for 360 Avios or 375 Flying Club miles.

The Clubcard points will be credited immediately, so you don’t have to wait for the DVD to be released.

The link to order is here.  The 150 bonus points will show on the order.

Be very wary of having your order cancelled if you order more than a couple ….

  • Paul says:

The Smurfs is one of those movies a parent has to endure

    • Rob says:

You know what? I really like Smurfs 1. Haven’t seen Smurfs 2 yet, got to avoid that cinema trip!

  • Tom says:

    Great spot! Thanks Raffles

  • Luke says:

Very nice thanks for the diligence!

Will the conversion bonus ever come?

    • Nick says:

      We all hope so!

      • Luke says:

I’m asking as if Raffles is some kind of Tesco insider…

        • Rob says:

No, but I do have a few thousand readers and many email me with stuff they find!

Ironically, Amex asked me recently if I had a mole inside Amex after something I had run. The answer to that was No as well!

          • Simon says:

Can you say what story it was that prompted the question from AMEX?

          • Rob says:

It was something remarkably trivial, but something they (mistakenly) thought had not been made public

  • Donald says:

Is the DVD multilingual? With French for example.

    • Rob says:

Amazon says it is just English on its listing (where they are asking £4.80!)

  • Volker says:

Headforpoints is the reason why I always get up early on the weekend 🙂

I just wonder why I never spot these promotions myself – despite having subscribed to all available newsletters and checking for offers online on a regular basis. Raffles & friends must be scanning the entire tesco website incessantly…

  • olybeast says:

Thanks for the tip raffles! Can’t wait to watch it

  • StephenF says:

Ordered two copies, one for son one for present. Great deal, thank you!

  • tonybobs says:

Ordered mine yesterday (x10) but no points credited as yet. :-/ Have you guys had your points?

    • Rob says:

They tend to go on 2 nights after purchase, not 1

    • Rob says:

Just noticed that my 153 points have gone on overnight. However, I ordered on Friday. Rest of you should expect your points tonight if you ordered yesterday.

      • tonybobs says:

Thanks Raffles! I’ll check tomorrow. Also bought some Ice Age 3D Blu-ray. £7 plus 207 points. 😉

        • tonybobs says:

Checked my clubcard this morning and yip, a new credit for 3600 points for a total spend of £100. 🙂 Just ordered another 10 copies. All will find a home… As will my 5130 points! 🙂
