Another IHG Rewards Club ‘flash sale’ coming on Monday and Tuesday

IHG Rewards Club is launching its third ‘flash sale’ tomorrow.  This will see various Holiday Inn, HI Express, Crowne Plaza, Indigo and InterContinental hotels offering reward nights for 25% to 75% off the usual rate.

The list of hotels is currently available on the IHG Rewards Club Connect website.  They will be available for booking from 3pm on Monday for 48 hours.

IHG Rewards Club

You can book for any period between 20 November and 20 December.

Last month, there was serious issues trying to book these deals.  If the website is causing trouble, try again later or try to book each night as a separate booking.

Unfortunately, the list of properties is substantially weaker this time.  The only London hotel is 25% off the Holiday Inn Express Victoria, for example – and 25% off is never a great deal.  For the random I date I checked, the hotel was only £99 anyway so a 25% discount on the usual 35,000 points is still not a deal I would jump at.

As always, though, if there is a deal happening in a place you are visiting anyway, it may well work for you.  Especially if you’re heading to Ipswich or Norwich ….

Yes, and there was a debacle with pointsbreaks too. I missed out on opportunity to get 7 nights HIE Patong because of it. Jus a heads up at this point for HFP readers who might be considering booking an IHG hotel in Thailand – never reserve advanced purchase rates or you may end up feeling scammed. Additional charges are often added to your bill that are not always clear on IHG site at time of booking. Book flexible rates, log out and back in to account and check details carefully. If unhappy then you can cancel.

Website seems to be behaving so far. I’ve just been able to snag an IC property for about the same points as the Holiday Inn I was otherwise going to be redeeming at, so it worked for me 🙂
