Hilton HHonors has announced its new promotion for Spring, ‘Weekend Rewards’.  Despite the name, you will earn something whichever night of the week you stay!

In a nutshell:

The promotion runs from February 1st to April 30th.

You will receive 1,000 bonus Hilton HHonors for EVERY night you stay

You will receive an additional 5,000 bonus points if your stay includes two consecutive nights between Thursday and Sunday night

A four-night long weekend, running from Thursday night to Monday morning, would earn you 9,000 bonus points.  That comprises 4 x 1,000 points and 1 x 5,000 points by triggering the weekend nights bonus.

You can register via this page on the Hilton website.

Note that there is a long list of hotels which are not participating in this offer so you may want to adjust your stays to avoid them.  Most are in the USA though, so you would be unlucky to come across one in Europe.

This is not necessarily the most generous promotion currently available.  On the positive side, though, it kicks in immediately from your first night.  You can compare it to the competition on our ‘Hotel Offers‘ page.

If staying 4 nights from thurs night, do you think it is possible to split the booking in 2 and take advantage of 2x 5000 pts?

  • World Traveller says:

If I remember correctly the FAQs for the promo state that only 1 x 5000 points will be awarded per weekend.

    • Rob says:

Yes, one per weekend BUT if you stay over 2 weekends(eg 10 nights) you get a 2nd 5k bonus.

  • Volker says:

Typical. Only 2 hotels in the UK are excluded, but of course one of my regulars. At least, there are 2 alternatives in Glasgow City.

Is it likely that Hilton offer something like ‘The Great Getaway Sale’ for the upcoming months which allows you to book accommodation at special rates rather than rewarding you more or less generously for full-price nights? I am aware of the current sale, but bookings have to be made by 31st January and I don’t know my exact travel dates yet.

    • World Traveller says:

You’ll more likely to see the odd 72 hour flash sale popping up every now than then. Some will be targeted to specific regions whilst others will be more general.

    • Rob says:

You could pretend you work in the UK public sector and use that
Iink, which can give 40 per cent off. Its on the Hotel Promos page.

  • andy stock says:

Excellent Raffles, got a weekend in the Hilton old town Prague.

  • Adam says:

Does it apply to stays already booked? Or just stays booked after registering?

  • Clive says:

It will apply to those stays already booked as long as they qualify

  • Donald says:

It’s difficult to get over excited by this. 1,000 Hh points even at the (inflated) direct purchase price of 1c per mile equates to $10 of benefit.
the grey market price is 50% of this, so we are talking bout $5 for each 1,000 points.

Here’s hoping that the great getaway is going to offer some value.
