Earn Starwood points when staying at a Caesars property in Las Vegas

  Basically given the redemption rate, and the massive availability of promo codes for Vegas hotels, even the analysis table is a little wonky since its fairly easy to get good rates for Vegas. I’d treat it as a bonus earner as opposed to aiming for it specifically. If you’ve been to Vegas previously and gambled at any of these properties and still have a total rewards card, log into your account online (or set one up) and look for “my offers” even players who’ve only gambled a little can often find 2-3 comp nights or at least special rates there.

  Just an overall tip for the way Caesars group systems work, they work off a number called an ADT which stands for average daily theoretical, ie how much they expect to make off you each day, so the higher that number is, the better your future offers will be, the key word here is “average” If you gamble, it’s MUCH better for your offers to do one big day gambling as opposed to 2 small days etc. if you’ve had a big day playing, and want to play a little the next day, don’t use your loyalty card since it will decimate your average, and in particular NEVER stick your rewards card into a slot machine to check your points balance since that triggers a “trip” and brings your average down, and finally it’s worth knowing what a “day” is in each casino, some are 6am to 6am, and some are 12-12 etc

  The golden rule of gaming though: never chase comps!

  I like Harrah’s as a good value well located option on the Strip. Must start planning the next trip. Does anyone know if the work on the Quad has been completed yet? It was a bit of a building site when I went this time last year.

    The area around the Quad is still a building site. The hotel itself is finished but the shopping avenue and the big wheel are still under construction.
    It’ s a shame the HET went down the route of charging a recreation fee on top of your stay base rate. They had the edge over MGM/Mirage.
    You could always stay at the Westin to use your Starwood points as you get full recognition there. Short 5 minute walk to centre strip.
    We always stay at the Platinum now and have done since it opened. 3-4 trips a year for minimum of 10 nights.

      We have yet to book for Vegas this year!!

      I suspect if we do, we’ll see you @ the Plat Happy Hour (… again 😉 )

  Just a note on your Total Rewards card. If you don’t use it for 6 months you lose all of your points. We fell foul of that a while ago, had about $300 in comps on ours and Caesars changed the rules without notice. MGM/Mirage is still 12 months.
  So you can either give your card to someone who is going over and ask them to put some minimum play on it for you, or join one of the Caesars clubs in this country and sign up for a Player Rewards card and get them to link it to your TR card, all play will count as keeping points active.

    You can also sign up and share on social media. It’s a program called Social Rewards. 1000 points warned with them is $10 on your total rewards card, so keeps you active
