Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Remember …. IHG PointBreaks bookable from Monday afternoon

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

On  Saturday, I published the list of hotels which will be bookable for just 5,000 IHG Rewards Club points in the latest round of PointBreaks.

This post is just a reminder that these hotels will open up for booking this afternoon, probably 2pm-ish as we hit the start of business hours on the US East Coast.  You should jump in quickly for hotels which may prove popular – remember that you can always cancel your booking later.

You can book via the IHG PointBreaks page here or via the standard booking page here.  If the PointBreaks page has not yet been updated, it does not necessarily mean that a specific hotel on the list will not already be bookable – do a search to check.

PS.  In case you missed my post on Sunday, you may be able to tie in some of these hotels with a flight in BA’s current four day (only two days left now!) flash sale.

Booking seems to be open, had no trouble finding the Staybridge Suites on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi at 5,000 points for a random date.

Have most of the Asian ones already disappeared? Many no longer seem to be there even after 39 minutes open!

Mumbai went very quickly, but there was precious little award space there anyway for this period.

Got HI Berlin booked without any problems – thank you very much, Rob.

I went online around 2pm and the rate had dropped from 15,000 to 5,000 points. Booked 3 nights in the HI Express Antrim, saving £175.95 on the advance saver rate.

Thanks again Raffles for the reminder, sadly my other option was the Hilton with a saving of £50 so I will have to think of somewhere else to use that offer 😉

I clicked the link in Raffles post and the hotel I wanted was not on the list, (It was on the pre-list) so tried it anyway and it showed as only 5,000 points. So booked this and cancelled my earlier booking of another HIX at 15,000 points and the 5,000 hotel is only 20 miles further along my Blue Ridge Parkway trip.
