Love Clubcard, don’t collect Avios?  You should be reading our sister site, Shopper Points (www.shopperpoints.co.uk), which covers the latest Clubcard and Nectar offers without any distracting frequent flyer talk!  Why not check it out now?

Tesco is running a promotion on iTunes gift cards for the next week or so, until Sunday 20th.

You will save 15% on all iTunes card purchases.

iTunes gift card

This combines very nicely with the ‘150 bonus Clubcard points for spending £50 on gift cards’ promotion.  If you buy 3 x £20 iTunes gift cards, you will be charged £51.  This will conveniently trigger the bonus, which is worth 360 Avios points or 375 Virgin Flying Club miles.

The current Tesco collecting period ends on May 2nd, so you will have the vouchers in your hands fairly quickly.

    What is iTunes? 😉

    • Something that the Adorable Nieces are constantly going on about. So these will do nicely as Easter presents to underline my position as Cool Aunt.

Sorry Raffles et al – hopelessly off topic but I figured this thread won’t get too busy as iTunes & points offer is clear enough.

    The RAC & Avios?

You may be aware that Tesco has recently stopped providing or renewing breakdown cover. Tesco breakdown cover was lastly provided through the RAC; and the RAC itself will send out renewal offers when existing Tesco policies lapse (but Tesco will no longer be involved).

I was just wondering if anybody had any experience of getting Avios added onto ex-Tesco, now-RAC policies or if (perhaps) anybody had declined the renewal offer but taken out a new policy through the Avios link to get the points? The points being quite good:

    Roadside & Recovery 1,500 Avios
Roadside, Recovery & At Home 3,000 Avios
Roadside, Recovery, At Home & Onward Travel 4,500 Avios

There is a line ‘To collect Avios you’ll need to join the RAC online or by phone. They’re not awarded on policy renewals’ – but technically I’m guessing your Tesco policy has ended and the RAC ‘renewal’ offer is actually a new policy. Worth a try and mine’s up for renewal in May.

    • Lots on MSE and the like about letting AA and RAC policies lapse and then applying as new customers because the deals are better. If you apply via the Avios link for a new RAC policy you should be fine.

  3. ITunes Gift cards never post on my Clubcard account, one off cards at least..or is it only when bought as a 3 pack ?

  4. you will also get a £5 helping hand coupon (as long as you spend £20+) today and tomorrow, to be used next week (14/04 – 20/04) when you spend £40.

    • Helping Hands is on this week as well so a £20+ spend before 20/04 will give you a £5 off coupon for next week. Covers the £3.95 fee for the physical visa gift cards.

  5. Anyone have a tesco wine code?
