Win one of 1,000 free hotel nights from IHG Rewards Club

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

IHG Rewards Club, the InterContinental, Holiday Inn, Indigo, Crowne Plaza etc scheme, has launched an easy-to-enter competition to win one of 1,000 free nights anywhere in the world.

The competition is restricted to EU residents – and not even all of those countries, sorry Belgium – so the chances of winning are not so bad.

There isn’t that much to write about it:

Go to this website and plant the ‘pin’ on the map in a place you want to visit.  However, it doesn’t actually matter where you stick the pin as the free night is valid anywhere.

Fill in your details, click submit and you’re done.

(If you are not already an IHG Rewards Club member, you will need to sign up before you can enter.)

The deadline to enter is 31st October.

The free night voucher is valid at any property, presumably subject to normal reward nights being available, so you could get a pretty decent deal.  You must use your free night by 31st March 2015.

The link to enter is here.

IHG One Rewards update – April 2024:

  • Metatone says:

Off topic, but kind of related, anyone have any clue when Barclaycard are actually going to open up the IHG Rewards Club Premium Visa to applications?

  • Andy says:

The chances of winning on this one do seem a lot higher than usual, especially with their being 1000 prizes. Does anyone have any idea of the amount of people that usually enter these competitions?

    • Rob says:

I was thinking about this. It depends 100% on whether they email the entire EU membership base – a few million – about it.

However, lets assume 20,000 people enter. I reckon 1,000 Head for Points readers will enter (I entered myself, wife and mother). This would mean we get 50 free nights between us.

  • andrew bell says:

Prize has a 100Euro/$150 max value

    • Rob says:

No it doesn’t, you misread it. That is their estimated value of the prize for those countries where you must pay tax on any competition prizes you win.

  • Dan says:

OT: But i got an email today from club Carlson – offering a 30% bonus when you buy points during October. Not sure if this news worthy – or just targeted at regular CC guests? (

    • Rob says:

Open to all, got a post lined up for the weekend. Not a bad deal if you redeem smart.
