        I think thats the old Forte hotel?

        Stayed there before, old fashioned, not in the best of nick. But it was clean and cheap.
        Just spend more time in Chester!

  When you book, you get a page saying ‘You will earn … points for this booking’. Take a screen shot of this so that, if IHG post the stay as non-qualifying, you can take it up with them.

  For some reason, the UK hotels all quote prices with breakfast. So the HI Kensington is £59 including breakfast. I cannot seem to be able to get a no-breakfast rate, not that it’s a problem. Both the Crowne Plaza Kensington and the Hotel Indigo Kensington are £89 (or £99 inc. breakfast) – both good hotels and decent value at that price.

    Yes I noticed this as well. On 30th there were ex-breakfast rates available still, but then suddenly all availability was pulled off.

  It’s part of the HIex branding, every room gets a free breakfast. My wife is an IHG ‘ee so we avail of the stupendous employee rates they offer instead!

    When searching for hotels yesterday I found that the prices via the app were more expensive than via ihg’s website. Worth looking at both prices.

    No, it has nothing to do with the HiEX branding – the same is true of ALL brands in London. Not sure about elsewhere in the UK – haven’t checked.

  Either they are all sold out or this is a bogus promotion. I’ve tried several hotels on the list only to be told “there is nothing available” for your dates, and then the site bounces me to the normal rate. Oh well…

  I had a similar experience, the rates on the IHG app are more expensive than the website. I tried calling them direct and was told that the flash sale rates are not eligible for the into the nights promotion. However, the customer rep I spoke to was not very clued up. Take a print screen of the booking. The 21 day saver rates are not much more expensive.
  Anyone know what the restrictions are on the 2 free nights? Presumably preferable to 50000 points if you are going to stay at an intercontinental.

    IHG is being vague, but it seems the only restriction is that they must be used in 2015 – standard reward availability will be used for them.
