British Airways launches £1,007 Club World flash sale!

I have dropped this in as one of the rare ‘middle of the day’ posts because this is a genuinely impressive deal.

If you don’t have your Christmas or New Year plans finalised yet, British Airways has launched a short ‘flash sale’ for Club World.

All participating destinations are just £1,007 per person return!

(Please note that, whilst the website is headed ‘Take 2 for £2,014’, you do NOT need to travel with someone else.  If you search for just one person it will price at £1,007.)

You have just seven days to book although seats are limited and the best deals will not last that long.  The last day to book is Thursday 4th December.

You must travel OUTBOUND between 21st December and 3rd January.  You must return by 11th January.

  1. Just a heads up, I have managed to book from NCL all the way through to MNL (Manila) via HKG for GBP 1327.45. includes return on Cathay in J, 400 tp’s and 33,652 miles :-)

I was originally looking at NCL-HKG and just chucked in MNL to see what would happen.

There may be other creative ways to use the cheap flights to destination not actually in the sale.

And here’s me supposed to be on a ‘burn’ year!

  2. Thanks for the alert!
We are off to L.A. for NewYear . £3060. for three CW returns including the Newcastle -Heathrow flights. Cheers Raffles!

  3. Hi, slightly OT here but if I book on the Qatar sale, am I better using my exec club number or joining the Qatar loyalty programme

    • Qatar is running a 50% miles bonus in its own scheme for tickets booked via this promo. However, unless you are going to earn enough for a redemption, it doesn’t make much sense to split your oneworld miles between two programmes. This is especially true in the case of Qatar because they are not an Amex partner so you won’t be able to top them up easily via Membership Rewards if you are just a little bit short.

    • Don’t waste them on QR, stick to your BAEC…put in your BAEC no…

  4. What’s the best way of seeing the fare rules for this sale? I need to find out if stopovers are allowed as I would like to route LHR-IAD, stopover then IAD-LAX and LAX-LHR.

  5. Interesting. I have Virgin reward flights booked for Vegas during this period. If I can find availability on BA does anyone know if I can cancel Virgin without penalty. Thanks.

    • You pay a small fee but you will get the miles and the rest of the cash back.

    • I can answer this myself now. Found availability with BA for the dates I needed (and got an extra day in Vegas) with BA at £1,002. Real easy experience in cancelling the Virgin reward flights through chat function. Got all my Flying Club miles back but forfeited the YQ fees around £300. Great deal, and shows how valuable this site is. Thanks Raffles.

  6. Damn ! I have already booked
Travel a week ago on similar dates to mumbai . And paid a lot lot more
. Presumably there is nothing I can do . This is rubbish !

  7. Cancelled redemption to MEX using 241, rebooked on same dates in the sale – thanks Raffles!

  8. NYE on Copacabana Beach, here I come. Crazy prices. Was odd seeing Club cheaper than WT and WT+!

    • Jason, you will have a blast! Did the same with my girlfriend last year in the BA Sale and it was amazing.

      -Mikee-

  9. Just booked a sneaky last minute visit to see the eldest child at university of Calgary! They wanted just over £1000 club world, just over £2000 for economy

  10. Nice find :)

  11. Sorry, this product is currently unavailable.

  12. Can that stream movies you have on your own computer ? Or only from these online services ?

  13. Yes, they’re quite nice boxes (I’ve already got one!) – good for watching iPlayer, etc and decent interface after a software upgrade earlier this year.

  14. EvilGazebo says:

CEX will buy the boxes for £4 – works for me as I use the passes but already have enough of the boxes….

  15. apologies I only followed your original link, just came up saying unavailable

it appears 2 are now not, but “NOW TV HD Digital Media Streamer with 2 x 24 Hour Sky Sports Pass” is the only one available.

  16. Damn so it is :( Was wanting the Ent pack one.
