  I used this card and the Hilton card during November and December, It worked very well.
  There is no nonsense about cheapest dish free, the food bill is halved.
  Both Hotel groups had my card waiting for me at the hotel, the hotels were aware and happy with vouchers.

  I’ve return flights to Kuala Lumpur booked, but still undecided on where to travel on to after seeing the city, so this sort of thing could sway me!

  On a slightly different topic we are thinking of going to Thailand with our 2 children just after Christmas for 2 weeks. We are close to east Midlands airport so would not mind doing a small flight to Finland/Germany to get cheaper taxesusing our Avios. Any tips? Also do you have to fly back to FI or DE or can you come straight back to UK airport and not pay the high taxes?

    We have an ex-OSL US trip booked for March where we return straight to MAN, this was actually cheaper than returning to OSL so play around with different combinations.

    Try pricing up Frankfurt to Doha on Qatar and then Qatar to Bangkok. The Frankfurt leg is under 3000 miles so only 12,500 Avios in Economy one way plus modest tax. Not sure what Qatar to Bangkok prices at.

    Coming back you could get BA to London as no APD on flights back, albeit you are hit by BA fuel surcharges.
