Business Traveller magazine is once again running its annual online charity auction. This year the cause is The Prince’s Trust.
They have put together a huge list of items, from flights to airline cuddy toys. See here for full details.
It is obviously for a great cause, so do take a quick look and see if anything takes your fancy. The deadline for bids is tomorrow, December 31st.
It is limited to Business Traveller UK readers, so the competition for lots will not be huge. I know at least one Head for Points reader was successful last year.
One interesting lot is five nights in a Club Premier Suite at Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai. Since I wrote about it, the hotel has started restricting passes to the beach at Madinat Jumeirah (a 5-night stay would get you two days beach access) which makes it less suitable for a beach holiday. However, I can personally verify that the Deluxe Suites are fantastic – especially if you have young kids – so I assume the more expensive Club Suites are also very good. The prize is worth triple the current bid of £783 as at 9pm last night.
Some of the other lots look a little overpriced based on current bidding, so be careful. The No 1 Traveller lounge passes also seem a decent deal (current bids are around £28 and it includes entry for two people and a glass of champagne) although note that the Stansted lounge is now closed, despite what the auction notes say.
