£10 sign-up code for minicab app Kabbee – exclusive to Head for Points
I wrote about Kabbee a few days ago. Kabbee works with 70 individual minicab firms across London, giving access to 10,000 vehicles. The navigation system is the same as Uber or GetTaxi, allowing you to track your car as it approaches.
The Kabbee guys saw my article and got in touch to offer me an exclusive promotional code.
Download the app or register online (smartphone not required) and add Kabbee code [deleted as now expired].
The code must be activated by 31st March and is valid for two weeks. The fare needs to be over £10.01 for the £10 discount to kick in – however, as Kabbee tells you your fare when you book, you will know whether a trip qualifies or not.

Amazing €999 KLM business class fares to China
KLM is currently offering some exceptionally good deals out of Dublin to China.
You need to book 30 days in advance and stay between 7 and 30 days. There is no end date – you can book the full 11 months ahead if you like. Availability is OK.
Fares are valid to Chengdu, Hangzhou and Xiam’en. The short-haul flight to Amsterdam will be in Economy if you are on an Aer Lingus codeshare.
Don’t want a trip to China? Think strategically. These cities are all well connected and you should be able to pick up an onward flight to elsewhere in Asia. Avios redemptions on Cathay Pacific would get you to Hong Kong and onwards.

KLM is a SkyTeam member which would let you redeem the miles you earn on Delta, Air France, Czech etc. Flying Blue (Air France / KLM) and Delta are Amex Membership Rewards partners if you needed to top up your account later. Alternatively, Aeromexico Club Premier allows family accounts which may be beneficial if you were travelling as a group.
The same fares are available from some other European countries such as Germany if Dublin is not convenient for you. They are not available from the UK or Netherlands however. Trips from many of these countries would have the short-haul flight in Business Class as well as the long haul.
Rocketmiles flash sale – earn double Avios
Hotel booking site Rocketmiles is running a 24 hour flash sale at the moment. It is already underway and will end at 8am US central time which is 2pm Friday in London.
Like Kaligo, Rocketmiles offers Avios, Virgin Flying Club and various other airline miles when you book through them – although you will not earn points or status credit from the hotel as the booking is treated as non-qualifying. The more expensive the hotel, the more miles you get. All bookings from first-time users before 2pm will earn double miles.
This cannot be combined with the current Rocketmiles bonus of 3,000 Avios for your first booking so Avios collectors would need to weigh up which deal is more generous. Collectors of any other airline miles don’t have the option and should stick with the flash sale.
