Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Get 2,400 Avios or 2,500 Virgin Atlantic miles for a £60 Tesco Wine spend

There was some discussion of this deal in the comments yesterday but I felt it deserved its own article, especially as the email subscribers would otherwise miss it.

Via a special deal aimed at moneysavingexpert.com readers, Tesco Wine is offering 1,000 Clubcard points when you spend £60.  This is an excellent deal given that you would receive 2,400 Avios or 2.500 Virgin Flying Club miles plus the wine – there are even half-price discounted cases available at the moment.  £60 could get you £120 of wine at full price plus the points!

Tesco Clubcard

The code you need at check-out is XXHGJK and it will expire on Sunday 15th (last date to order, not receive the order) unless 6,000 people use it first.

The deal is open to both new and existing Tesco Wine customers.  The Tesco Wine website is here.

PS.  If you missed it, I also ran a deal yesterday offering 3,000 Virgin miles with your first purchase from Virgin Wines.  As that is a long-running deal, you may want to focus on this one first.

  • Tracy says:

Don’t forget to shop vid Avios for an extra 4 points per pound.

  • Max says:

Be prepared for the barrage of phone calls after your first order from the Sales team. Determined they certainly were! I had to lie in the end and tell them I was now tee-total in order to stop them contacting me.

    • Think Square says:

Do you mean from Tesco or Virgin Wines?

      • Max says:

        Virgin Wine

        • Max says:

And just realised my error! I am full of ‘flu and half asleep.

I found I was bombarded by telephone calls from Virgin Wines. This of course is nothing to do with them! Just ignore me 🙂

  • Chris1922 says:

Will this work if you took advantage of the recent 800 ccp offer with Tesco wine, directly with them ?

  • Steve says:

Re the 800 ccp. certainly does work this time around as well

    • Chris1922 says:

Certainly did work, my wine is on its way ! And 1000 ccp in the bank 😉

  • Deb says:

Ordered 2 cases, shame I am tee total, well that is xmas and all other family gatherings sorted for a while, until next promotion anyway!

  • Ànon says:

worked for me, try 6x Otima Port (£11.99/bottle), served chilled, its lovely stuff and great as a gift.

  • Malibu Stacey says:

Slightly Off-Topic – Did anyone tae advantage of the ClubCard ‘Flash Sale’ on cinema tickets today? It does not appear to active now so I’m wondering if I missed it. 🙁

    • Jason says:

Also tried to buy some visa gift cards today was told there is a limit on how many I could buy, although customer service lady was a little vague on the actual amount. Had already bought £500 and £50 in 3v gift cards, all they had.
Reason for not selling them, was apparently people have been using stolen credit cards to buy them!!!!!
I doubt they were scanning their club cards with the purchases 🙂

      • idrive says:

i can not find them any more any where! i need them NOW!
the stolen credit card is an old story. offer an ID if they complain.

  • Malibu Stacey says:

Scrap that. I think it just went live. £2.50 for an adult or child cinema ticket – 3 to 4 times the nominal value.

    • Rob says:

Annoyingly, not valid at my local Cineworld – looks like we’re paying the Shaun The Sheep during half term!

      • Malibu Stacey says:

Shame. But if you go on Wednesday you can take advantage of the last ever Orange 2-4-1 Wednesday deal. Just need an Orange/EE Sim in your phone.

      • Fenny says:

Wait a few weeks and take them to the Kids’ Club on a Saturday morning!
