Hilton launches a flash sale for weekend stays

Hilton has launched a seven day ‘flash sale’ which runs until midnight on Sunday.

It is offering special deals at 250 hotels across Europe (including the UK), Middle East and Africa, but only at weekends.  Many rooms are discounted by 33%.

The rates are valid for stays until July 17th.

As usual with Hilton sales, you need to take the ‘33% discount’ with a pinch of salt.  This is based on the discount from ‘Best Available Rate’ for the same day.  However, these sale rates require pre-payment and are non-refundable.  A ‘Best Available Rate’ room is cancellable without charge.

There are some decent deals there.  I picked a couple at random:

Waldorf-Astoria Rome Cavalieri, 22-24 May (photo above)

€301 Flash Sale vs €400 Advanced Purchase vs €450 Best Available – you save €100 per night via this sale

The Trafalgar, London, 22-24 May

£153 Flash Sale vs £229 Best Available (no Advanced Purchase option shown)

Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Beach, 22-24 May

Dh 825 Flash Sale vs Dh 935 Best Available vs Dh 1,100 Best Available – you save Dh 110 per night via this sale

If you have any weekends away planned between now and mid July, you might want to take a look at these offers to see if there is anything of interest.  The ‘flash sale’ website is here.

Remember to try the rate with and without the public sector offer code. Mine was actually cheaper without.
you can also add the double points offer to your account, and the 1500 avios for your stay. On top of amex £50 off £250.
There are some keenly priced half board options too (£11 more than with no food). Is the half board option generally useful, or do they give you an allowance that is never enough for the food?
