Two interesting new promotions from Le Club Accorhotels have appeared.

250 bonus Accor points (worth €5) on your next stay

Via this link, you can register for a promotion which offers 250 Le Club Accorhotels points on your next stay within three months of signing up.

This offer was emailed to people who had just hit their one year anniversary of joining Le Club Accorhotels.  However, anyone can register and you have nothing to lose.  Experience from a similar promotion last year shows that the points should turn up.

500 bonus Accor points (worth €10) with UK Novotel stays

In a separate offer – although you can combine this with the deal above – Novotel is offering special packages for stays of two or more nights.

You need to book by June 22nd for stays before September 6th, and you must book a ‘bed and breakfast’ rate to qualify.

It is certainly not the most generous offer ever, but if you need to book a Novotel anyway then it would be wrong to turn down the points!  The booking link is here.

I stayed a couple of nights at the Novotel Greenwich recently, and while hotel and service were pretty decent, for some reason all three UBER drivers I requested during my stay were struggling to find the hotel (I had to give directions over the phone to all of them). The last one took 50 mins to arrive at the Novotel so that I nearly missed my flight from LCY (to be fair: traffic was awful, too, that morning).

  • andystock says:

The Novotel Greenwich is next to the station, thus Canary Wharf in 10+ mins on the DLR, London Bridge 10+ mins and Cannon Street in 15 mins. (All London bound trains go to cannon street now 7 days a week full time)

  • Chris says:

Accor is also running an offer for Mercure and Ibis/Ibis Styles for 30% (Mercure) and 15% (Ibis) plus 500 points for single night stays booked twenty one days in advance which may be more attractive for some due to only the single night requirement.

Both are in the offers section on Accor website.

    • Richard says:

…though the quoted discount is off their flexible rate, so the “standard” pre-booked rate is often cheaper. If you value the 500 points at £7.50 though, that normally just edges it.

It’s great to see some coverage of Accor here, but to be honest the current crop of offers isn’t particularly notable. Over the winter they were doing 40% off + 575 points on Novotel and Mercure, with pretty wide short-notice availability. Obviously it’s not surprising that the offers are ramping down for summer, but people new to Accor shouldn’t assume this is as good as it gets.

  • Mark says:

I have an Accor stay already booked from Sunday, for which I’d registered for the double points deal.

If I register for this as well will I got both on an existing booking, or do I risk losing the double points (which is by far the more valuable?)

    • Rob says:

Should get both ok but no rush to use this code, which is valid all year, if you don’t want to risk it.

  • Brian says:

Off-topic, but are people aware that you get 6 Millemiglia (Alitalia loyalty programme) miles for every euro spent on Venere?

    • Brian says:

No idea, just noticed it on an email sent to me about a 15% discount code.
