Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Get 7,200 Avios or 7,500 Virgin miles for taking out Tesco car insurance

Tesco Clubcard has launched a new promotion offering 3,000 extra Clubcard points (7,200 Avios or 7,500 Virgin Flying Club miles) when you take out Tesco Car Insurance.

The details of this offer are not showing online but they are in a leaflet being mailed out by Tesco.  Here are the two key rules:

You must buy your cover by 23rd June using code CAR3000G

You will NOT receive the bonus if you originally got a quote via a price comparison service and followed a link to Tesco from that site.  (This is because Tesco would be paying commission to the comparison site and has no marketing budget left to fund your 3000 points.)

There is a scan of the leaflet here if you want to see it.   You can see the full list of small print there.

  • Simon says:

Two good things about Tesco Car Insurance is that they take AMEX and don’t charge a fee for paying using a credit card.

    • Louise says:

Thanks for that. I knew elephant used to accept amex too

  • sandgrounder says:

Always worth a go though. Sometimes it does come through. Sky paid me about £50 to get HD for a year once. 🙂

  • Elena-MuslimTravelGirl says:

I was just looking today for car insurance and yet Tesco quoted me £200 more than anyone else! Crazy. I think i will skip this offer, even though I wish it worked.

  • Joe says:

Thanks, had renewed last week with aviva but policy doesn’t expire until tomorrrow so after seeing tesco was about the same price called up, cancelled aviva and just bought through tesco….

  • Nick Massey says:

Just renewed with Tesco – if you call them they will throw in 3000 CC points without taking out a new policy if you mention this offer to them. Saves a bit of hassle anyway…..
