EXCLUSIVE £30 Head for Points sign-up code for HotelTonight

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

I have written about HotelTonight a few times in the past, and they generously gave away £1,000 of free stays to HfP readers in a competition last year.

If you haven’t tried their app yet, HotelTonight is now offering HfP readers an exclusive £30 sign-up code to use on your first booking.

The minimum spend required is only £70 plus VAT and fees (roughly £85 in total) so you could be saving nearly 40%.  That is on top of any saving that HotelTonight is already offering over the list price.

Your booking must be for a hotel in the UK.  HotelTonight currently operates in 23 UK towns and cities.

What is HotelTonight?

HotelTonight is an app which allows you to book a carefully curated selection of hotels, at all price points, up to seven days in advance.  By restricting itself to seven days advance booking, it can persuade hotels to offer discounted prices because they will know by that point that they will not be full.

The company operates across the UK, Europe, North America and Latin America with over 500 cities currently covered.  Morocco and Australia are coming soon.  Your £30 sign-up credit is only valid for a UK hotel, however.

How I claim my £30 free credit?

HotelTonight is only available as an app.  There is no website through which you can book.  Restricting access to deals to registered users is another way that the company can persuade hotels to offer deals through the platform.

To receive your £30 credit, you need to enter the code HEADFORPOINTS on the sign-up page.

IMPORTANT:  the £30 will show as a coupon will show on your account under the “Redeem promo code” section.  It does NOT show as a £30 credit and your ‘Credit’ total will still show £0.

You have until 31st December to redeem your £30 sign-up credit so there is no rush to use it – but you should download the app ASAP whilst the code is still available.

The £30 credit is only for first-time users of the service and a £70 + VAT minimum spend at a UK hotel is required.  You will see the ex-taxes price on the payment page so it is easy to check it is £70 or more.

Thank you to HotelTonight for making this generous offer available.

Cheers, Rob. Some great deals here, such as The Wellesley for £340 tomorrow night (£310 with your code) vs £365 on Booking.com. I’ll keep an eye on this.

  • Sarah Murray says:

A very generous offer, thanks. They have a lot of IHG and Accor hotels. For after when I have used my first-time use code, I am bit unclear on how the discounted rates work with the likes of chains which have best rate guarantees.
The final hotel in the screenshot often appears in Happy Mondays. Would Hotel Tonight allow a price match to Happy Mondays? And if Hotel Tonight was cheaper eg on a Wednesday, would Accor match it?!

    • Rob says:

As Hotel Tonight is a membership site it is not valid against Best Rate Guarantees.

[…] EXCLUSIVE  Head for Points sign-up code for HotelTonight! by Head For The Points. Believe this will only work on UK bookings and there are % discount codes which might work out to be more depending on how expensive the room is but still worth a look. […]

  • Matt B says:

I think it needs to be made clear that it’s £30 off your total spend of the room BEFORE VAT. So if the room is advertised as £71 – it’ll actually be £59 (+20%). I just got stung – bought a non-refundable room for £70 expecting to get £30 off. Rang them and it turns out I wont. 🙁

    • Rob says:

Sorry about that Matt. I just found this out myself about half an hour ago via a friend who couldn’t get it to price. I have amended the text and will email you separately.
