  Something to add to the mix:

  I have visited the brand new American Express Centurion Lounge at SFO airport (available to Platinum Cardmembers) and it was the heaven on Earth as US airport lounges go. Gourmet delicacies, fresh berries and a free selection of Napa wines. Brute served in tall flukes.

  Better than BA Concorde room at JFK.

    Can you take a guest in, or do you both have to present a platinum card? Sounds wonderful, we are departing form there next march, so look forward to that. Does anyone know what SEATTLE airport lounges are like ?

      I have been to the Seattle Alaska Lounge – was doing a mileage run with a SEA-JFK segment in F. It isn’t great – like a domestic lounge in UK – apart from the hilarious pancake machine which on the press of a button spits out a pancake which hangs off a roller like a Labrador’ tongue.

      You can take up to two guests in on each Platinum card, or your immediate family, so I guess that means more than two if they happen to be your partner and children.

        Centurion® Members and Platinum Card® Members who receive complimentary access may enter with up to two guests or your immediate family (spouse or domestic partner, and children under 18) at no additional charge.

          I suppose that means elderly parental units can accompany you as guests, but not “immediate family”!

  re Hilton Hotel competition, the rules say winner must be ‘a legal resident of Great Britain’ although the heading says ‘Regional UK HH Campaign ‘.
  So beware if you live in Northern Ireland.

  Re – Hilton comp. Not very helpful that ‘all winners will be notified on 1 June 2015’ when the closing date as per T&Cs is 5 July 2015 and one of the prizes (the PGA hospitality) is for 22 May!!

  So how can I relate this to East Coast in anyway… only joking 😉

  Am I the only one that prefers the walk in the tunnels to the transit train in T5? I know I normally spend more time waiting for the train, boarding, feeling like sardines and then getting to the other end in T5 then I do just walking in T2. Then again I may feel differently if T2C if ever built.

  These new things look like fun but won’t they get in the way of those who want to walk? If you’re going from B to A walking is the only option.
