Hilton has launched its annual Summer Sale, with decent discounts available across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The sale offers a fixed 30% off the standard Best Available Rate, albeit that sale rates require prepayment and are non-refundable.

An additional 5% discount is available on hotels in Turkey, the Middle East and Africa if you book before 19th June.

The sale rates are valid:

EVERY DAY between 24th July and 31st August

At weekends (Fri / Sat / Sun) until 27th September

You must book by 23rd August – but note the extra 5% discount mentioned above for early booking

Did you know that the Virgin Atlantic credit cards are a great way of earning Hilton Honors points? Two Virgin Points can be converted into three Hilton Honors points. The Virgin Atlantic cards are the only Visa or Mastercard products in the UK which can indirectly earn Hilton Honors points. You can apply here.

    I received an email from Hilton about this offer. The T&Cs are:

    Book between May 19, 2015 and August 23, 2015 and stay on weekends between May 22, 2015 and September 27, 2015 except as otherwise indicated.

    It also says I can get an extra 5% discount for being an HHonors member.

    The offer is also coming up when I put in November dates for Dubai. Any suggestions on the best Hilton hotel in Dubai, for beach/pool and location?

      Big budget? Waldorf. Small budget and new hotel? Doubletree. Old but big resort? Hilton Jumeirah. Taking family on a budget? Exec Apartments across road from Hilton Jumeirah. Never stayed at any of these myself.

        Waldorf is coming within budget and a good deal on “Whatahotel”.

        Will be myself and my mum – business flights on Ethiad mainly with points from the AA credit card and already have 3 nights booked at the new Intercontinental due to open this month from the Into the Sights promotion of last year. So need somewhere for the other 3 nights.

          We stayed at Waldorf last month – excellent hotel. One of the best I have ever stayed in.
          As a Diamond member we got upgraded to a room with Exec lounge access, which included breakfast.

    Slightly off topic – this weekend I have a Hilton stay booked using Points & Money. Is there any way I would actually earn hhonors or airline miles from such a stay? I know Hilton changed policy a while ago so I no longer earn from the cash element but what about bonus points from their double up promotion? Would charging something to room result in additional points or miles being earned?

    I checked out a couple of dates in August and Kayak was showing considerably (£200+ per night) cheaper, so be wary.
