Kaligo.com launches new Virgin Atlantic partnership with a strong offer

Hotel booking site Kaligo.com, which I have featured a few times on Head for Points as a way of earning large amounts of Avios points, has launched a new partnership with Virgin Atlantic.
Between now and 31st August, you can earn up to 10,000 bonus Virgin Flying Club miles when you make your hotel bookings via Kaligo.com. This is on top of the standard miles you would earn for your booking. Full details can be found here.
The bonus miles are based on how much you spend over the next three months:
Spend £250-£499 and earn 3,000 bonus Virgin miles
Spend £500-£999 and earn 5,000 bonus Virgin miles
Spend £1,000 or more and earn 10,000 bonus Virgin miles
Here are the important things to note:
This is CUMULATIVE spend. You do not need to spend the whole amount in one transaction.
This is NOT just for new customers. If you have previously earned Avios points from Kaligo.com, you can still sign up for the Virgin promotion.
These are bonus miles and are earned on top of the standard miles that Kaligo.com will give you for your booking.
You can book for dates in the future – you do not have to actually complete your stay before 31st August. Your bonus miles will not post until after you have checked out, however.
As always with Kaligo.com, Rocketmiles and PointsHound, you should remember that you will NOT receive points from the hotel for your room rate in its own loyalty programme. You may, depending on the chain, receive points for your food and drink spend.
You should also compare prices before booking. They will not necessarily be the cheapest option in every case but, especially when factoring in the Virgin miles, you should often be able to get a good deal.
You can find more details of the Kaligo.com Virgin Atlantic promotion here.
