Bews in brief:

30% off Radisson, Park Inn and Park Plaza Summer bookings

The various Club Carlson brands are currently running a short Summer sale which ends on Friday covering their hotels in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

They guarantee a saving of 30% off the standard flexible rate for rooms booked for stays between June 22nd and September 6th.

If you can squeeze in a stay before June 28th, you would also receive triple Club Carlson points under their current generous promotion.

Take look here for Radisson Blu, here for Park Plaza and here for Park Inn.

Melia Rewards

… and 40% off Melia rooms for the Summer

Melia is also running a similar offer across its brands (Melia, ME, INNSIDE, Tryp etc) with discounts of up to 40% on standard rates.

Whilst it has a strong presence in Spain, Melia also has some decent UK hotels – the trendy ME on The Strand, the Melia White House by Regents Park and the brand new INNSiDE hotel in Manchester which I will be reviewing very soon, as I was there last week.

More details are available at the Melia website here.  You will need to sign up to Melia Rewards here to access the biggest discounts.  You need to book by June 30th for stays until September 15th.

SLH

Triple Avios with Small Luxury Hotels of the World

Small Luxury Hotels of the World, the marketing group behind a number of leading global boutique hotels, is offering a decent deal for stays until the end of September 2015 which are booked by the end of June.

As long as you stay by September 30th, you will receive 1,500 Avios points for every stay. This is triple the standard rate of 500 Avios.

Full details can be found here.

You will need to join The Club, SLH’s loyalty scheme, in order to take advantage of this. You will want to, though, as membership is free and you receive a free upgrade (subject to availability) on your first stay.

Ensure that your avios.com membership number is in your ‘The Club’ profile. You will not be able to receive Avios points by presenting your membership card at the hotel itself.

If you are an American Express Platinum cardholder, you can join The Club at the ‘Loved’ level. This gets you free breakfast for two people on your first stay. The sign-up page is here.

If you are not an Amex Platinum cardholder, you will be promoted to ‘Loved’ status after your first stay and receive an upgrade AND free breakfast from them on.

OT Bit: Sri Lankan have a 30% off economy sale across their network which might be useful to some. Ends tomorrow for travel 15/9 through 10/12.

And a ridiculously cheap ~£600 fare OW in J SIN-LHR via CMB.

      • James67 says:

Yes, I have used ow J fares with them back to UK from Asia; been quite happy with product and service and great value considering WTP is often at least 50% more expensive, and UUA is no longer attractive.

  • Volker says:

Not sure if it has been mentioned here yet but Le Club Accorhotels has launched a Super Sale that gives Le Club Accorhotels members 40% off + complimentary breakfast for two. I was able to book the Sofitel at Heathrow’s T5 in November for prices starting at £113 including breakfast for 2 people.

Just make sure you sign into your LeClub account BEFORE searching for accommodation. If you log in during the booking process you might not be shown any promotional rates and pay more than necessary.

Not sure a night in a Travelodge is a decent return on 30 years of marriage 🙂

  • North says:

Think the SLH Avios offer is only on stays of 3 nights.

OT bit 1250 Tesco clubcard points for new a/cs making £60 order (Groceries)

    Expires 21 June

  • AndyGWP says:

    That’s good to know bob – thanks…

But what I really want to know tho, is will you please sell me 2 of your blue tickets at the charity price you paid? 🙂

    Pretty please? 🙂 😀

    • AndyGWP says:

blue!!! I meant blur!!! lol… couldn’t have made a worse typo! haha 😀

      • bob says:

        All gone I’m afraid 🙂

Blurs were delivered to me next day online by the time I was buying those RFS flights at 1am in the morning on the 17th, stuck them up for sale on ticket site & went back to bed, all sold by 7am, must have been too cheap. Not that bothered as it was my first foray lol

An enlightening experience, truth be told.

        • AndyGWP says:

ah no worries – did you sell on stubhub out of interest? might see if I can pick some up cheap on the day 🙂

        • AndyGWP says:

Cheers — still annoyed that I’ve got 5000 points sat in my SPG account (because they took too long to transfer from Membership Rewards)…

Think I’ll hold out and see what the prices are like on Saturday. Was one of the few co-incidences that I was in London for the weekend (I’m a northerner) and something decent was going on, but i’m not £60+ (times two) desperate to go 😀

          • Rob says:

Plenty of SPG Moments opportunities come up so those 5,000 points won’t be wasted. The Blue VIP package for Hyde Park was so underbid that it went for just 4,500 points compared to the ‘buy it now’ standard tickets that sold for 5,000 points!

        • AndyGWP says:

haha, yeah, I noticed that finishing as I wept into my pointless account, constantly refreshing in the hope my points transfer would appear 😀

As you say, I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled now for other opportunities 🙂

… at the worst I can always go Liverpool again 😀

        • bob says:

Rather regretting my haste. Looks like I could be a wee bit richer.

        • bob says:

Looks like I cleared £700 for that bit of fun.

Could have made twice as much if I got the pricing right.

Could have made multiples as much if I got the set up right.

          Happy enough for a test.

  • will says:

watch out for slh.com smallprint. Have to book specific higher rate plan only through the office or website, can’t book with hotel for example. makes it hard to actually qualify for any points.
