New British Airways sale launched in World Traveller and World Traveller Plus

  Out of interest, historically, what are ex DUB,AMS fares like in World Traveller Plus. ? Is there much of a saving to be had when going long haul. With a family in tow, and with what I have seen with award availability since April I will be struggling to get award seats in club to the west coast next year for four of us.

    I was looking at Dubai in WTP out of Dublin last night, and there doesn’t seem to be too much difference – it came out at about £560 instead of about £670 for direct flights from London. CW was about EUR 1000 each way.

        My sister booked a similar itinerary, though just to JFK. Booked on AA.com

          Yes booked on AA. All in Y unfortunately but when 4 are travelling it makes a big difference. With status was able to get Y+ on the AA 777 and emergency exit so won’t be painful.

      Would you mind sharing how you managed to achieve this fare (dates, etc.)? I’m not able to find anything even remotely close on ITA Matrix.

  The problem with Cape Town is that it is one of the best flights to do direct. With no time difference (near enough), you can jump on at Heathrow at night, get a full 8 hours sleep and wake up in Cape Town feeling perfectly fit.

  Changing in the Middle East not only wrecks your chances of a decent sleep but also means you are hanging around Doha at 3am or whatever which is not ideal.

    Definitely agree that you want to avoid silly times as much as possible (and the return from CPT doest look great with a 3.5hr layover) but, at some point, price will come into it and, for £300 less/person the Qatar option could well work for some.

  Checked out just how great this sale was by checking flights to Toronto for September. In short. What sale?!

  Found flights to go to Florida for two adults and two children for £3100 all within the April school holidays flying on American Airlines metal.

  Then double checked with sky scanner and found that finnair were offering same flights for £2800
