  • Mike says:

And 8th July is the Etihad devaluation.

  • Graham Walsh says:

Is there any way to transfer etihad points over to Virgin as I’ve just taken that bonus offer in the past few months.

    • Rob says:

No. Only option is book a one way via Etihad and back on Virgin (or partners).

  • John says:

    “a 500% increase” should be 400% increase.

    • Rob says:

We have this issue once a week and I doubt I will be changing anything 🙂

  • Dan says:

Shame the 5k bonus for stays at Hilton has come to an end! I’ve been staying at Hilton properties in London weekly since the beggining on May – going to miss the 11k points per stay I’ve been earning! (Double points promotion, gold bonus + 5k bonus)

    • Jason says:

Managed to get my 4th stay, tomorrow, to attain gold on both our accounts at Hampton Corby.
40k spent, 40k received in bonus – plus 4 packets of crisps and 4 bags of maltesers, billed to each room 🙂

      • mark2 says:

we stayed at Corby on Tuesday night. Unless you have other plans, suggest you try the food there; we went to JD Wetherspoon opposite which was pretty average. The manager said I see you are silver so you have lots of experience of Hilton hotels. I hadn’t the heart to tell her that I got silver by having a credit card and by spending £750 on it got a free night in a real Hilton in Toronto (50,000 points) and was getting gold for four stays.
I am off on a mattress run to Newport tomorrow; must make a small purchase. I did not buy anything at Corby but still got the points. I did not get the extra 2,500 for first four stays on credit card although I did in Derby on Monday by paying for the car park.

        • Fenny says:

Paying for Hilton car parks is one of my bugbears.

          • mark2 says:

The hotel in Derby city centre had no car park – we stayed in a public car park at half price through Hilton.

        • Jason says:

I only stayed once and that was just to try the breakfast, which was good for the standard, of hotel, Hampton is.
I did think the beds were disappointing though and the sofa beds had a dangerous n
Metal protusion, which both our children walked into, in the dark, and got bad bruises on their leg from it.
The hotel is good value for 5000 pts a night. Even better when it doesn’t cost you any points on a gold challenge. Hopefully the Conrad Rangali will give us, and the kids, free breakfast next year, although we will all be in the same room 😉

  • Oz says:

Just booked a First class return from London to Abu Dhabi on the A380, seems like they’re still taking bookings at the old rate even though it’s already 08/07.

Saying that, still can’t get over this increase. I’ve emptied my Etihad account and will just use AA miles next time.
