Thistle will lose the management contract for ALL, bar two, of its regional UK hotels on July 31st. As I wrote here, the chain will not, to all intents and purposes, now exist outside London.
On August 1st, Thistle is effectively scrapping its Thistle Signature loyalty programme. It will only have 11 hotels left, of which nine are in London, compared with 30 now.
This means that you have just two weeks to sign up and claim the generous joining bonuses.
Thistle Signature has the following benefits:
Membership is free
New members get a voucher for a free Sunday night stay at any Thistle or Guoman hotel when staying a Saturday or Monday night at ‘best flexible’ rate
New members get a voucher for a free Sunday lunch. This can be used on the same visit as the free Sunday night stay voucher.
Thistle will continue to honour the Signature free night vouchers for three months, which means that you have until October to use them. If you are planning a weekend trip to London before then, it is worth signing up.
You MUST download your vouchers before August 1st, irrespective of when you plan to use them. They will not be available after that date.
Going forward, Thistle is promising to develop a new loyalty scheme. In the meantime it is promising ‘personalised offers and perks’ to be emailed every three months – which suggests we may be waiting a while.
