Heathrow Express is currently offering a 25% discount for Visa cardholders – which must mean pretty much anyone.
Full details and the promotional code needed can be found on the Visa website here. I cannot do a direct link to the deal because Heathrow Express has started coding their offers in such a way that the links only work if the click is seen to come from the official offer website.
Prices are reduced to £16.12 one-way / £26.25 return in Standard and £22.12 / £39.75 in First Class.
Note that, for two adults travelling together and who need a return, it is cheaper to buy a Duo Saver for £50.
The offer runs until August 31st and may be especially useful if you are heading away for the Bank Holiday. The tube strike on Friday may have been cancelled but the roads towards Heathrow will still be very, very busy.
Remember that children now travel free on Heathrow Express at all times. This even applies to First Class. We have used the HEx twice since this new policy came in, both when travelling on Friday evenings when the idea of facing the A4 / M4 traffic was not appealing.
If you have Marriott Rewards Silver status or higher, you may want to check out their ‘free First Class upgrade’ promotion instead which also expires on the 31st. This will make First Class tickets even cheaper than the Visa offer at £21.50 one-way and £35 return.
