Club Carlson is offering 10,000 bonus points – which I value at £35 to £50 – when you stay two or more nights at selected hotels.

This deal launched last month but slipped through the net at the time.  Luckily, you still have a month to take advantage.

Here is a summary of the deal:

It is valid at selected hotels in Europe, the Middle East and Africa – the list is here

You must register via this link

The rules say that existing bookings do not qualify, but they contradict themselves by saying “registration must be received before checkout of the Eligible Stay to qualify”.  If you already have a stay booked at one of the featured hotels, I would definitely register anyway.

You must stay before 15th November

You must check in on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday and stay two or more nights

You can only earn the bonus once

It sounds a bit fiddly but the bottom line is that if you are looking for a hotel in Europe for the weekend over the next month then you might find something useful here.

It is possible that a couple could earn the bonus twice on a 4 night stay if, for example, one person booked Thursday and Friday whilst the other booked Saturday and Sunday.

For the less exciting properties on the list, a £35 to £50 rebate (in the form of 10,000 bonus points) is not bad – especially when you add in the base points as well.  The Park Inn Harlow is only £112 for two nights in November, for example, and I’m sure there are European hotels under £50 per night.

How to earn Radisson Rewards points and status from UK credit cards

How to earn Radisson Rewards points and status from UK credit cards (April 2024)

Radisson Rewards does not have a dedicated UK credit card. However, you can earn Radisson Rewards points by converting Membership Rewards points earned from selected UK American Express cards.

These cards earn Membership Rewards points:

Membership Rewards points convert at 1:3 into Radisson Rewards points which is a very attractive rate.  The cards above all earn 1 Membership Rewards point per £1 spent on your card, which converts to 3 Radisson Rewards points.

Even better, holders of The Platinum Card receive free Radisson Rewards Premium status for as long as they hold the card.  It also comes with Hilton Honors Gold, Marriott Bonvoy Gold and MeliaRewards Gold status.  We reviewed American Express Platinum in detail here.

Will this work in conjunction with an elite 2for1 stay?

    • Rob says:

Yes, if the hotel gives you 2 nights credit. No if they don’t. Bit pot luck as the hotel is in its rights to only give 1 night stay credit even though you often get 2 nights.

    (Sorry if posts multiple times)
So annoyed I missed this. Just spent the weekend in Frankfurt (Radisson Blu) but would have opted for the Park Inn instead for the extra miles as I spent almost no waking time at the hotel anyway. Grrrrrr…. Missed out on a free night somewhere or at least a fifth towards a stay at one of the nicer hotels.

Was on the Gold 2for1 rate (and would have been for Park Inn too) so would have been interesting to see if it credited.

A good reminder that I can’t just rely on other people to do the research into current offers for me (as in HFP).

Note: That’s not a dig !!! Just a reality check.

Any idea how to find out if a hotel will credit both nights of an Elite 2for1 weekend stay, without perhaps alerting them (and CC) that there is maybe an overlap of offers they didn’t expect/plan for/ want ?

Has anyone here stayed at any of the listed properties on an Elite 2for1 and can you state whether they credited one or two nights ?

There’s a thread of flyer talk that gives some info based on people’s experiences

    Thanks Brendan.
