        Following Brian’s link, confirmed by Amex as kicking off 5th December 2015, should be better than ever.

        Last year we got £5 off haircuts, many rounds of drinks, lots of food etc.

        Does anybody remember if any Amex cards were not included? (MBNA definitely WAS included.)

      Seems to be happening in Oz this year – hopefully for once it’s just the US that are missing out (although knowing our luck they’ll get some even better version of the promo the following month! :D)

  This is the option to go for if you want a straightforward, one-off deal and are concerned you may forget to cancel a subscription. It works out as £5.80 a bottle instead of £4.66 a bottle above.

  Slightly OT, with Hilton it seems to let me book using points two different hotels on the same night. In terms of qualifying for status would I get credit for both hotels of course provided I checked into both!

    Sounds like a yes. Why would they bar you, even if they were cute enough to know? – which I doubt.

    You could be booking in a brother etc.

    No, you can’t get credit for stays at 2 properties on the same night, cash or points.

    You cannot even book 2 rooms at the same hotel because you only get stay credit for one of them, although (for cash bookings) you’d earn points on both as long as the bills were merged.

    Starwood is better for this – you can stay credit for 3 rooms per night.
