As well as the British Airways deal covered in my lead article today, here are some other Black Friday travel offers.

This is by no means a comprehensive list – I have only listed deals where the company involved got in touch to tell me what they were doing.

I especially recommend the Hotels.com competition in case you get lucky!

Hotels:

Hotels.com – I mentioned this earlier in the week.  They are running a ‘mystery coupon’ competition – enter your email address and you will be sent a coupon worth up to 99% off your next booking (maximum spend £1,000)!   The special page to enter is here.

Lancaster London / K West (nr Westfield) hotels – 50% off for 24 hours only, book from 9am only on their own sites here and here

LateRooms.com – exclusive hotel deals which will be available via this link

Melia Hotels – 30% to 45% discounts depending on city (London is 45% which includes the funky ME London – photo below – and the more traditional White House), booking is via this link and runs to 30th November for stays until February.

Flights:

Singapore Airlines – discounted economy fares, from £510 to Kuala Lumpur.  See here for details.

Air New Zealand – special deals to Los Angeles for December to March travel – £399 in Economy, £899 in Premium Economy and £2,099 in Business.  You can see my reviews of the ANZ seats here.  You can book here.  On Monday, they will be offering 100 seats to LA for just £199.

Opodo – book a flight today and receive a voucher worth £50 off your next flight booking.  Details here.

Car rental:

Avis – 20% off UK rentals via this link

Budget Rent-A-Car – up to 30% off UK rentals via this link

Other:

Priority Pass – if you’ve been thinking of joining this global airport lounge network, you can save between 25% and 40% depending on which price plan you choose.  See here for details.

Azimo – free foreign currency transfers (albeit their fees are often as low as £1 for mainstream currencies) via this link

Etihad Guestdiscounts on various items from the Etihad Guest gift catalogue, if you have a pile of Etihad miles and no short term plan to use them for a flight

lastminute.com – discounts on pretty much everything from hotels to spa breaks to theatre tickets, see here for more

Accor are running a UK sale until Cyber Mondays – essentially the same rates as for Happy Mondays, but the rates are valid all week until 28 Feb (I think). A great deal if you can find availability for where you want to go.

Got 9% and 8% on my two email accounts.
Maybe I can use them both to get 98%?

A bit of a let down really – I am finding that the big chains who sell hotel rooms (eg. hotels.com, expedia, booking.com etc) never really do many worthwhile offers……maybe just my own experience?

  • Ethers says:

Managed to bag 2 of the 100 LA flights – £408 in total for 2

  • Ethers says:

2x LA flights booked with Air New Zealand yesterday £408

  • JasonS says:

A little belated…I was lucky enough to bag one of the ten 99% off vouchers from hotels.com – wanted to say a big thank you! Would never have entered if HFP hadn’t flagged this.

    • Rob says:

Well done! I hope you will be booking something as close to the £1,000 order cap as possible!
