  Slightly pedantic, but the Stade de France holds about 80000 and the Parc des Princes about 48000 , I think that the new Stade Jean-Bouin, near Parc des Princes, is also bigger than Bercy. Bercy is probably the biggest indoor stadium in Paris though.

  Stayed opposite Jean-Bouin last summer on an Accor Deal, at the Hotel Molitor – they were offering spa weekends. Great new hotel built around 1920s swimming pools with a good quality spa which Mrs H loved for her birthday treat!

    Unfortunately Accor’s Hotel Molitor has already gone downhill. It was an interesting idea: refurbish a derelict former lido on the edge of central Paris, on the edge of the peripherique ring road. A stately spa hotel right by the Bois, it should have been lovely – but they tried to retain the squatted feel with an ‘edgy’ street art theme, incorporating graffiti everywhere including the carpets! It’s too expensive for the locals to swim there, and although the hotel claims to welcome schools, we never saw any children. As a result, the whole place is a hot mess with beautiful open air pools that sit empty, broken spa facilities, and dispirited staff who manage to be grumpy even by Paris standards. There’s just zero buzz, which is really sad for a place that aches to be hip.
