    Had a stay last year. It was perfectly fine but a bit out of the way for me. But for me the upgrade and free breakfast woukd not tempt me away from the mercer street or Hampshire. Mind you, The Easter egg might……

  Don’t know the hotel but certainly know the area. However, I saw this last week when researching for a room for 3 adults to share after a night out in London. They are not charging more for the third adult (possibly due to auto upgrade ?) which makes them a potential choice for my wife and non point collecting friends when heading into the capital later this month.

  Likewise if you have kids, free food and no surcharges might be persuasive if the hotel and location are acceptable.

  Chocolate of course is a great persuader……….especially if you tell the kids first !

  Has anyone stayed in any of the Radisson hotels in Oslo? Need a hotel for a stopover to catch a Qatar flight 🙂

    Both park inn and radisson at OSL are connected to the terminal (100-200 m walk). I find park inn newer and slightly better than radisson.

    Currently sitting in the OSL lounge having just checked out of the Radisson this morning. The public spaces are in good condition; the rooms themselves felt a little tired. Food is expensive (£65 for two burgers, two small glasses of wine and a tip) but decent quality. There’s building work going on until mid-March so the 100m walk is out of action.

    Stayed at the Radisson Blu at OSL in Dec, there were construction works around the area but at the time the walkway was still accessible (just about). SIlver status upgraded to business room, room was located in a different building so felt like a 5 min walk just to get from reception to room. Room felt spacious, WEIRD african themed with equally weird decor (plastic chilli on wall, some leopard prints here & there) but only 1 set of cup, water glass and 1 single decafe nespresso capsule was a joke for a double room with 2 bathrobe laid out on bed. iPhone App control everything from ordering extra shampoo to express check out was a nice touch. We actually walked to airport, checked in and dropped bags before heading back to hotel for breakfast. Breakfast buffet was above average. Not a huge range to choose from but what’s laid out was of great quality.

    Stayed at the Radisson last year, it was good if somewhat pricy. Connected by a covered walkway so bring a coat if you are staying in winter 😛

    You need to check the rules. Some schemes allow, it some don’t. Some have small print – Hilton gives points for 2 rooms but only if they are merged into one bill.

  OT: My wife has just upgraded Amex Gold to Amex Platinum chargecard. For those who’ve recently done this and applied for Hilton HHonors Gold status, when does your Gold status expire? We want it for May/June 2017, so would consider delaying if people are only getting it until end of March 2017. Thanks!

    My wife’s upgrade to platinum was done 2 weeks ago and her Hilton gold is valid thru June 2018
