  • Hugh says:

Just got a letter from Tescos, saying the annual 650 Avios “bonus” for the MasterCard has stopped – they blame the new EU legislation

  • Danksy says:

Don’t forget lecub accor benefits stop being accessible from Amex Platinum from mid April. I’m sure Rob will feature in his next roundup of future dates !

    • Rob says:

Yes, will be giving this a push as we get later into March.

    • Scottnothing says:

I haven’t held the AMEX Platinum for the past 2 years and just had my LeClub Platinum status “renewed” again (for a second time post closing the account). Will be interesting to see if Accor go through their membership database post-April and phase-out free status renewals for former AMEX Platinum cardholders like myself. They would be crazy not to.

  • Guy says:

Just got the platinum amex for the first time. Can anyone tell me how long I might expect before hotel status posts for existing memberships (Hilton, Accor, Starwood), and can I clarify these apply to the first supplementary too?

    • Rob says:

Yes, supp gets them too. Need to apply via the Platinum website for hotel cards.

    • Genghis says:

Once you’ve applied you’ll get most of them within about a week. But I applied around a month ago for Shangri La status but this has yet to come through. Has anyone else had any luck?
