Last call for the higher bonus on the Virgin credit cards

A very brief reminder that TOMORROW is the last day for the higher 10,000 and 25,000 mile bonuses on the Virgin Atlantic credit cards.  Full details of the deal are here.

Last chance for the Avios / LOVEtheatre promotion

If you are spending the Bank Holiday planning out your social life for the next few weeks, remember that Avios has a new deal with LOVEtheatre.com.  This allows you to earn 3 Avios points for every £1 you spend via their site.  

Established in 1991, LOVEtheatre is a totally reputable ticket agency with access to seats for a wide range of events.

Until tomorrow, 31st May, you can earn 500 bonus Avios points with your first purchase of £50 or more.

There are three hoops to jump through to get this:

    Just for the benefit of those who may be considering visiting Thailand for the first time but may be put off by idea of squat loos: they are now few and far between, and in the places they still have them they often have at least one western toilet too. In general, Thai public toilets are of a substantially higher standard with better maintenance and cleaning than what we are typically faced with in the west.

    Good morning James, good to know that we have a HFP expert on “Loos in Asia” 🙂 .

    It seems that Mr Attaporn’s Member’s recovery is going well and that he is grateful for the support of Members of his Family.

    It also seems that he intends to ‘swap” his “squat” loo for a sit down one- and I am wondering whether the main safety advantage of this would be the U-bend??

    The only squat down loo “experience” I can recall is when Mrs Gummidge and I travelled from SIN-KUL by train(1st class a couple of years ago)- I was OK using the facility, however I remember Mrs Gummidge remarking on return that it was a good job she has strong thighs! 🙂 .

    Anyone having issue with MBNA posting only 18,500 instead of 25,000 bonus pts for the Virgin Black card?

      The current promotion is for 18,500 on first transaction and the rest after spending £3k in 90 days.

      “18,500 bonus miles will be credited to your Flying Club account after your first card purchase, providing you use either of your cards within 90 days of your account opening and supply your Flying Club membership number to MBNA. A further 6,500 bonus miles will be credited to your account when you apply by 31 May 2016 and spend £3,000 on either card in the first 90 days of your account opening and suuply your Flying Club membership number. Please allow six to eight weeks for bonus miles to be added to your account. Bonus miles are not awarded on balance transfers, money transfers or cash advances.”

        Is there a way to track how many miles earned on mbna before they land on virgin flying club? I can’t see that on the website and I haven’t had my statement yet.

      Just checked the Virgin website which says either card counts for the sign-up bonus. Engage brain before posting…
