The last day to collect points for this Tesco ClubCard quarter is 21st July.
If you take auto convert to Virgin off your Tesco account before the quarter end and put it back soon after you will probably get 1,000 Virgin Miles; this has worked the last four quarters.

    • AndyGWP says:

So to be clear, if I have £200 clubcard vouchers in my account, will any of them actually end up auto-converting then, or not? 🙂

      • mark2 says:

I believe that auto convert only applies at the point of creation of new vouchers, but may well be wrong as I have never had auto convert set at quarter end so that I can get the bonus for setting it shortly afterwards.

    • Genghis says:

There’s been very few offers this quarter. My Tesco points balance is looking rather low

  • Andy S says:

I was going to get some IHG points as my bonus is 100, then the pound plummeted against the dollar!

  • Vin says:

Sorry OT, could someone please confirm how long it is taking for iHG to send out ambassador kits these days? Wanting to use a free weekend night voucher around 20th Aug and thinking of applying for ambassador membership today.

    • Rob says:

If it doesn’t arrive they can liaise with the hotel anyway. Once you are upgraded online you can book it at intercontinental.com/ambweekend

      • Leo says:

I did this. I liaised with the AMB team and the hotel. I’ve never seen my pack – after 7 months of waiting.

        • Rob says:

Never got mine, but I did the voucher in a normal letter and the 15,000 points were added after a chaser email. I can live without the luggage tags!

  • VP says:

OT: Would really appreciate if someone can clarify a query I have. UK domestic does not have business and I believe the max tier points you can get is 20 if standalone flight. However, if I am purchasing LBA-LHR-HEL return with LBA-LHR marketed as Business (J) and LHR-HEL as Business (I), how many tier points would I get? 200 or 240?

    • Alan says:

It’s still 20 pts per domestic flight when booked into these classes too. Whenever you book WTP, CW or F it should book into 20TP per sector for domestic.

  • VP says:

OTP: Amex has sent out targeted emails to Gold cardholders offering 3,000 points for adding a supplementary card holder. The deadline is 31st July and there is no minimum spend requirement. So easy 3,000 points if you can add someone.

    • James67 says:

Also, 5000 for the platinum which is half last years bonus, and 500 for the standard BA card.

Anybody know if amex independently credit checks the supplementary card holder?

      • Rob says:

They do ID checks, not sure about a full credit check as main cardholder has joint liability for the debt.

  • Liz says:

Presume this is because they were bought by the Aussie company – they no longer accept the Homebase vouchers bought in Tesco as I discovered recently but you can use them in Argos now apparently.

    • Fenny says:

My local Tesco haven’t had any Homebase gift cards for months. When I asked about it, they said their stock had changed after Christmas.

  • Fenny says:

They don’t pay on uncollected orders. I have not picked up orders in the past when they rang and said they didn’t actually have the stock in my local branch, but they can transfer the order to a branch in a place I never go.

  • jude says:

O.T. Going on my first business class flight next Sunday to Barcelona at 1630. Will we get a choice of food and will it be a meal or just a sandwich?
