Our comprehensive review of the Accor Live Limitless scheme is here.

This is a quick reminder that tomorrow, Wednesday, is that last day to make a booking under the current very generous Le Club AccorHotels offer, covering Novotel, Sofitel, Ibis, Mercure, M Gallery, Pullman etc.

You will earn €200 of Accor hotel vouchers or 10,000 Avios points (or miles in another airline scheme) if you complete FOUR two-night stays at Accor properties before 26th December.

You must book your stays by this Wednesday, 12th October.  Even super-cheap £25 weekend rooms booked under the ‘Happy Mondays’ offer will count.

Stays must not be consecutive stays at the same hotel.  Booking two back-to-back stays of two nights at the same property would not count as two stays, only one.

You MUST register for this promotion via the offer website here.

Existing bookings made before Monday do NOT count.

What I don’t know is how this promotion will combine with Accor’s other current deal – triple Avios – which I wrote about here.  You would probably get both sets of bonuses but I cannot be sure of that.  Triple Avios will be more generous if you are only make 1 x 2-night stay.

The bonus is dropped into your account in the form of 10,000 Le Club AccorHotels points:

your first two-night stay comes with 500 bonus points (€10 or 500 Avios)

your second two-night stay comes with 2,500 bonus points (€50 or 2,500 Avios)

your third two-night stay comes with 3,000 bonus points (€60 or 3,000 Avios)

your fourth two-night stay comes with 4,000 bonus points (€80 or 4,000 Avios)

Two things happen which are not explained on the promotional website:

When you reach 10,000 points you will be given Gold status in the Le Club AccorHotels programme. This page on the Accor website shows you the points you need for each tier and the benefits received.

Instead of taking the €200 of vouchers, you can convert your 10,000 bonus points (plus base points) into airline miles. For the main programmes I write about, the conversion rates are:

Flying Blue 2:1

Avios.com or BA: 2:1

Iberia Avios: 1:1 (so don’t convert to BA!)

Emirates: 2:1

Etihad: 2:1

Miles & More: 2:1

By converting to Avios in the Iberia programme, you are effectively ‘paying’ 2 Eurocents per Avios compared to taking the Accor hotel vouchers. The hotel vouchers are therefore a better deal unless you have no plans to use them. In all of the other airline schemes you are paying 4 Eurocents per mile which is very poor.

You can find full details of the offer, and the link to register, on the Accor website hereDon’t forget to register first and don’t forget to book by Wednesday evening.

  • Waribai says:

This hasn’t doubled up for me. The bonuses are accumulating but apart from one single night stay there have been no tripple miles added

  • James says:

MORE IMPORTANTLY……. does the 4×2 10,000point promo combine with the 30% off and free breakfast promo they’ve just started ?
For today only (possibly the 12th too, not sure) both promos are active.

Whether they combine I don’t know.
30% off, free breakfast AND 10,000 points sounds nice 🙂

    • James67 says:

IME any stay counts so Mondays, 30% off and the Morrisons promotion should all be fine. Where it becomes complicated is in cases like Waribai states where one registers for more than one bonus points promotion. I queried how this works with CS and was told in pracrtice the bonuses do not stack, that we would receive the most beneficial points credit on a stay by stay basis when registering for multiple promotions. However, this may be the theory but I do not believe their systems are sophisticated to apply it properly because there have been times where I have benefited from registering for multiple promotions and times where I have lost out. It seems a bit of a gamble to me, last think we want to do, for example, is inadvertently miss out on the last of the four stays in the current promotion.

    • Richard says:

Yes, they will combine (assuming they work like every similar Accor promo in the past – I’ve taken advantage of many of them). The one thing you can’t do is to redeem existing points on a qualifying stay.

  • Boi says:

I have 2×2 night stays booked as I needed them anyway. Is it worth booking a further 2 cheap stays to get the full 10000 points?

    • James67 says:

If you could book a further 2x2night stays that are of use/value to you costing less than €160 in total then those two stays would effectively be free as you would be gaining more than you spend. With Happy Mondays and other promotions this should be doable easily enough. I’m paying for our weekend in Venice next year using similar promotions (when only 1 night stays were required!) in conjunction with £18/night Ibis stays in Thailand. Particularly happy I held on to the accor points ths long given the falling £.

      • James67 says:

Thanks Axel, it wasn’t a mattress run as such, we used Ibis and Novotel as stopover htels on a return kriurely drive from Bangkok to the far South.

    • Richard says:

You’ve only got one more chance to book Happy Mondays (today!) but you can currently book for two weekends into the future. So if you booked 2 x 2-night Ibis Happy Mondays outside London, you’d spend £100 (£25 per night) and make an extra 7,000 points, worth about €140. Whether it’s worth the hassle is up to you.

Though remember that until the end of the year, when the rules change, these points will also count towards status. My own Gold status is highly prized because of the late check-out – and almost invariable upgrades at Novotels – but your priorities may be different of course.

      • Boi says:

Thanks, I am currently platinum with accor (mine never changed since I got Amex plat 4 years ago). I will do the maths and see whats available around leeds

    • James67 says:

Oops sorry, ignore my maths, Richard is correct. I should not read HFP before making my morning coffee.

      • Richard says:

Well, except that you can only redeem in 2,000-point blocks, so my €140 valuation is somewhat notional. If you have no other source of Accor points, then you’d go from having 3,000 but only being able to redeem 2,000 for €40, to having and being able to redeem 10,000 for €200.

So we’re both right in different ways 🙂

  • DTLW201 says:

I checked out of stay 3 of the 10k bonus 4 and stay 1 of the triple miles (after fighting the accor website for hours last night.

Ill try and report back this afternoon if I see any acount activity but doubt itll post that fast…

    • DTLW201 says:

Im guessing the points accelerator is the bonus for status not triple miles?

  • Emma says:

Not quite to do with the 10,000 points promotion, but I had a question on Accor points conversion to Iberia. I have 4200 points, but they only seem to be letting me convert 3000 of those. I see mention in earlier comments of redeeming in blocks, but I can’t see anything on their website in the T&Cs, only about the minimum conversion value. I though I’d try auto conversion as the T&Cs say “Automatic transfer, with no minimum amount, is activated as soon as the member has earned at least 2 Le Club Accorhotels points for a stay at one of the Accor hotels participating in the program.”, but that is the same. Maybe because I am doing the auto convert after the event. Is there something I am missing or a way round this? It’s very frustrating as I’m probably not going to stay with Accor again before my remaining 1200 points expire, so it seems I’m going to loose them. Any suggestions?

  • mbrunz says:

If I book today, does it still count? I think it says “before” today, so yesterday would have been the last day?

Stupidly fell asleep before booking happy mondays last night!

    • Rob says:

Midnight on the 12th I’d say. Dodgy translation from French is common with Accor!
