Hilton has launched its Winter Sale with decent weekend discounts available across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Whilst it is nominally called the Winter Sale, you can book for any weekend between now and the end of 2017

The sale offers a discount of up to 30% off the standard Best Available Rate if you are a Hilton HHonors member, albeit that sale rates require prepayment and are non-refundable.

You receive a smaller discount (25%) if you are not logged in.

This offer is only for Hilton Group hotels, including Hampton, Conrad, Waldorf-Astoria etc, in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

In the past, many hotels have also loaded sale rates for weekdays so do check.  You need to book by 31st December 2016.

Did you know that the Virgin Atlantic credit cards are a great way of earning Hilton Honors points? Two Virgin Points can be converted into three Hilton Honors points. The Virgin Atlantic cards are the only Visa or Mastercard products in the UK which can indirectly earn Hilton Honors points. You can apply here.

      Before any pedants chime in on the argument of the Geographical/Polictical identity of Iceland and Europe, what I really meant was its often not included in Hilton EMEA Sales…

        I can highly recommend the Hilton Nordica – we were there last week and it’s a great hotel, albeit out of town. Unfortunately they don’t offer the free bus pass any more, but there is free parking, useful if you have a hire car. The exec lounge, can be busy at times, but it’s well stocked and well run with great hosts who are really helpful and friendly; as are all the staff.

          I stayed there 3 separate night in Spring 2013, got exec access each time.

          Great hotel, did Execs still get free spa access?

          Prices aren’t cheap even in thus sale, the GBP/ISK rate is akmost 40% lower than last year.

          16k pts + £59 looks a sweet spot for a £260 room

            Yes, free spa access still included, although we didn’t us it.

            We Originally booked at a very decent flexible rate, but the cost went up after Brexit. Still a good price when you consider as diamond breakfast and longer access for evening food pretty much sprted is out. Breakfast was allowed in the main restaurant too.

    As usual, you need to take these sales with a pinch of salt. York in early Jan is £2 more per night than it was on Sunday before the 30% of sale…

      I echo your thoughts.. Hilton T4 at LHR was £129 last week for my date in March and today in the sale it’s reduced to £144.

      It’s the usual smoke and mirror BS and no doubt Black friday mega sale will see it slashed further to £169.

      I would take Hilton sales with a table spoon of salt!

      Rarely are they really reduced and those rates are always unrefundable, so be careful. Hilton is playing us again.

    On the subject of Hilton (double tree) I stayed at the Newbury North last Friday. £43 B&B for two, two drinks and a pack of crisps plus 4,000 points. We used the NHS weekend rate plus a status match against IHG platinum. No upgrade but for one night room was ok. Pool/jacuzzi very pleasant first thing sat morning then up the road for a day trip to Oxford. Very very good value
