Hilton HHonors has extended its current ‘double points’ promotion by a month.

Whilst originally due to end on 30th December, ‘Double Up’ will now run until 31st January.

You do NOT need to register again.  If you registered originally back in August, you remain registered.

If you didn’t register before but will have a Hilton stay before the end of January, you will need to register to take part and this can be done via the Hilton website here.

‘Double Up’ wins the 2016 award for simplest hotel promotion:  you will receive double base points on every stay.  No hotels excluded, no cap, no minimum stay requirements.  Bookings made via the Hilton app will receive triple points.

No hotels are excluded.  Qudos to Hilton for getting rid of the long list of ‘non-participating properties’ which used to blight their promotions.

Even if you choose ‘points and miles’ (usually 10 base points per $1 plus 1 airline mile per $1) instead of ‘points and points’ (usually 10 base points per $1 plus 5 bonus base points per $1), you still receive double base points for the ‘points’ element.

You can register for ‘Double Up’ here if you haven’t already.  No registration = no bonus.

If you can’t remember if you registered, click through and try to register again – it will tell you if you have already signed up.

OT – I’m trying to get the Telegraph Dragonpass lounge offer as mentioned here (and referenced in earlier HFP articles):

Unfortunately the SUMMER code has expired – does anyone know the year round ‘code’ that subscribers can apparently use? 🙂

  • Aceman says:

Can someone explain this to me, just checked out of a hilton in prague, some kind of corporate deal rate, so didn’t really expect any points (though got executive lounge access so can’t complain). Made a couple of room charges though, nothing major, but haven’t got a single point out of it. Seems a little harsh? -In addition after check out spent some more money with them waiting for the flight, I’m assuming no chance on getting that spend credited either?

    • Alan says:

When did you check out? Corporate rates are normally fully eligible, it’s only OTA Expedia-style ones that aren’t. HHonors is slow to post though, eventually stay posts after a couple of days then points a day or so later, so if it was recent it wouldn’t have shown yet. You won’t get credit for spend after checkout though as your folio has been closed.

      • Aceman says:

Phew, thanks, just checked and points credited, it was originally showing on my statement as 0 points!

  • YL says:

By the way, The Twinings on The Strand is included on the Shop Small offer.
It is not on the map (it has not been on the map for the last few years), but I tried each year and have always received the £5 back each year!

today success at Hardy’s (sweet and chocolate shop) and On the Bab (korean food) both close to City Thameslink station

  • Alex says:

O/T, I’m a couple of £k short of achieving HHonors Gold via the £10k annual spend route on the HHonors Barclaycard. Anyone know if there are any short-cuts I could use to achieve it? If I were to withdraw cash would this count towards my £10k annual spend??

    • Alan says:

Make a prepaid refundable hotel booking for later in the year to hit target, then once you’ve eventually spent the equivalent amount then cancel the booking for full refund.

  • Billy says:

I have given up on Hilton.

    Appalling hotels in my experience.

    • Anon says:

I take it youve not tried the Conrad Rangali? :p

      • mark2 says:

or Stucky Molino in Venice or Hilton Toronto?

I have given up on IHG but have not yet stayed in Intercontinental although I have bought Ambassador status to keep Spire Elite (to keep Hilton Diamond) and hopefully get most points back.
