As I originally wrote on Saturday, IHG Rewards Club (the Holiday Inn, HI Express, Crowne Plaza, InterContinental etc group) will release a new list of PointBreaks redemptions this afternoon.

These rooms are a fantastic deal.

All of the 129 hotels below will be available for just 5,000 IHG Rewards Club points per night from Monday, saving up to 25,000 points per night in some cases.

Hotel Indigo Krakow

PointBreaks availability is very limited so book ASAP if you are interested, as soon as bookings open up on Monday. Bookings are refundable as with a standard reward reservation so there is nothing to lose.  IHG works on US time so I would not expect the offer to be available until mid-afternoon in the UK.

You can book via the IHG PointBreaks page here or via the standard booking page here.  If the PointBreaks page has not yet been updated, it does not necessarily mean that the special deals below will not already be bookable – do a search on the hotel you want to check.

You will be able to book these hotels for dates up to 30th April.

You allowed a maximum of two bookings per individual hotel. Each booking can be for as many nights as you want.

Remember that if you attempt to amend your booking later by dropping a night or two the whole booking will reprice at the full rate.

This list is, frankly, not great.  My personal favourite is the Hotel Indigo in Krakow (photo above) which is brand new and has a great position in the old town.  If I had to pick one, I’d go for that.  The Crowne Plaza in Bratislava also looks interesting.

However, as I always say, the world doesn’t work like that.  We all have our individual travel schedules for the next three months and – if any of these hotels prove suitable for your itinerary – you’ve got a great deal.

        “Even though I was on the 5th floor I was kept awake until 5am with the music pulsing through the building structure! Combined with the noise of the Clubbers coming and going outside it gave me the worst night in an hotel ever!”

        Club, Duplex, appears upmarket by local standards however (eg no female mudwrestling).

    Live – just had a look at FRA airport HI which is 5000 points on a night they want 231Euro…definite bargain.

    However I have two rooms at the Hilton that night and together the would cost almost 600 euro and I have used a Hilton credit card voucher and 20,000 points. its above the station so I avoid the walk and will get free breakfast as Dimond member.

    I was going to book a couple of rooms just in case i get delayed on the way home however German hotel cancellation policies are quite stringent and IHG look like they will charge 10% if I book and cancel. Not sure how that works on points booking perhaps Rob can say. Apparently this is a very relaxed policy with some charging 100% when cancelled. Between that and paying for the second adults who will sleep in the same bed as the first the German have some interesting policies…but I still love them all…the germans…not the policies

    Nothing for us this time. Toyed with the idea of doing a night in Frankfurt then onto Madrid just to check out the Lan business product but the lack of direct flights from Gatwick scuppered it.

        Heard anything about the Club Carlson dropping the 2-4-1 & 4-4-2 benefit ?

        If true its a real bitch for me.
        This was the benefit I liked the most and is flat-out what saw me ensure I kept Gold Status.
        Without it CC are going to have to pull something amazing out of the bag to entice me to use them over rivals I also obtain status with.
        This is a big shame to me and will see them genuinely lose my business.
        Their properties are not special enough to stand up against the competition without a perk like this I’m afraid.
        I think this could see the brand suffer.
        I have Rezidor shares which are showing a decent enough profit. I would have held them longer but think this will hurt the business as regular travellers will change their loyalties to another company given this very large devaluation and won’t go the extra mile to keep maintaining their elite status.
        I’m taking my money & running.

        I have been so very, very close to opting in to their current 100k for 20 stays promo and pushing myself to make a few extra stays that I wouldn’t have expected to. Now this has happened it has made me refocus on my other preffered hotel chains.

        On top of dropping what I consider to be their most valuable perk, they’ve done it with zero warning so have well and truly lost any respect & trust I had in them.
        I have absolutely no interest in doing business with a company which behaves like that.

    I managed somehow to book an entire month there at 5 000 pts per night instead of one night…

    All cancelled OK!

    Now booked one night there and two nights in Bratislava.
