Excellent SWISS fares from Brussels for two people
SWISS is offering excellent business class fares from Brussels to Rio, Bangkok and Beijing – €1,195 (£1,040) – when two people travel.
Beijing and Bangkok are operated by SWISS so there are no problems there. You get the fantastic Swiss business class seat, photo below, and service.
There is a snag with Rio, where the long-haul sector is on its ‘leisure’ arm Edelweiss Air. You will earn Star Alliance miles for the flight but these may not be status qualifying – you’d need to check.
You need to book by 22nd June for travel between 1st July and 15th January 2018. There is no guarantee that the fare is available on every flight but I had no trouble getting it to price.
You need to use the Swiss website here and book for two people starting in Brussels.
Good To Go Parking sale
Good To Go Parking is the ‘secret’ own-label parking company set up by Heathrow Airport Parking.
We explained how Good To Go Parking works in this article. As long as you stay over a Saturday night, Good To Go lets you book the official Heathrow car parks for not much more than you’d pay for offsite parking – and a lot less than you’d pay via Heathrow Airport Parking.
For bookings made by 18th June, for parking which begins between 6th June and 19th July, Good To Go is offering a 10% discount. You need to use promo code FLYAWAY on their main website. Discounted rates are subject to availability.
Norwegian Reward family accounts
Norwegian Rewards has launched a new feature.
From now on you can create a family account to combine the CashPoints of up to 7 accounts.
Similar to the Avios.com family accounts, Norwegian Rewards family accounts merge the balances of each individual account. Only members appointed by the head of household can redeem points for a discount on a future flight.
Earned rewards are not shared accross the family account members and stay your personal benefits.
This looks like a valuable new feature, especially if you only take occasional family trips on Norwegian. This allows you to use the cash balance you’ve built up from those trips to claim a discount on a trip just for yourself. The page to sign up is here.
