Receive 25% bonus Avios in Aer Lingus AerClub with SuperValu Real Rewards

As a reminder, our coverage of Avios Ireland (AerClub) is exclusively on the Head for Points website.  You will not receive these articles via our daily emails unless it is a deal which UK residents can take part in.

Whilst Tesco has a major presence in Ireland, AerClub has teamed up with supermarket chain SuperValu.

We have written about the relationship between SuperValu and AerClub a few times.

You earn one Real Rewards point for every €1 you spend in SuperValu.  You can convert Real Rewards points or Money Back vouchers into Avios at the rate of 1:1.  This makes it roughly half as generous as the Tesco partnership which gets you 2.4 Avios per £1 spent.

Aer Club and Real Rewards have teamed up to offer another transfer bonus.  Until 26th September, you will get a 25% bonus when converting Real Rewards points into Avios.

(Regular readers will have spotted a worrying pattern in these bonuses.  They started off as triple Avios.  They then did a few with double Avios.  The last couple were at 50% bonus Avios.  Now it’s 25% …..)

This means 1 Real Rewards point is worth 1.25 Avios.

The minimum transfer level is 50 Real Rewards points or a €2.50 Money Back Voucher.

Full details can be found on the SuperValu site here.

250 free Avios via SuperValu's new partnership with Visa

Get double Avios via SuperValu’s new partnership with Visa

I also wanted to remind you about the generous SuperValu promotion with Visa.  It ends on 8th September but will, we are promised, return.

SuperValu has signed up with Visa to offer special benefits when you pay for your shopping with a Visa credit or debit card.

It is a bit fiddly to set up but, once done, it is an easy way to earn some extra Avios from your shopping.

You need to register your Visa debit and credit cards via the SuperValu website here.  That’s it.

You can register up to two different Visa cards.  In theory they must be issued by Irish banks, although one reader told me that it worked fine with a Revolut card.

You will receive DOUBLE Real Rewards points (2 per €1 instead of 1 per €1) whenever you pay at SuperValu using your registered Visa debit or credit card and swipe your Real Rewards.

The additional points are not added immediately but will hit your Real Rewards account within 10 days of your transaction.
