  Question on Hilton hotel bookings. I need to book multiple rooms over four weeks for collegues on a project I’m running. Is there any way that I can accrue Hilton points to my account for each of these bookings? (I won’t be staying in any of the rooms).

  The wife and I are heading to Amsterdam for New Year. I’ve used points to book the Rad Blu for the Sat and Sun nights. Was hoping to use the eCert from the Promo to book the Friday night. Unfortunately the Friday night has sold out. Do you think I’ll be able to utilise the Guaranteed Availability benefit with Gold Status in combination with the Friday night eCert to open up a room? I’m guessing not but as is typical of Club Carlson the terms aren’t clear or precise and don’t explicitly exclude eCerts, just rooms booked with points and cash+points. Got the CP South booked on points just in case.

    No. Guaranteed Availability means cancelling a booking for someone else so no way will it happen for a reward. If you ever do this, at any chain, you are asked for an astronomical cash charge, part of which is used to compensate the evicted guest.

      I noticed such a redemption was available once at the Tropicana when no cash rates were available. It was about half a million Hhonors for 1 night so obviously didn’t partake.
